Jimmy teaches Hope to crawl by placing sugar cubes on the floor, the only way Jimmy could get her to do so. As he decides to baby proof the house, he realizes Virginia is a hoarder, stuffing items in a greenhouse for her life-long dream to one day win the lottery and move to a bigger house. Hope ends up crawling to the garage. After the Chances rescue her, Jimmy removes all the clutter, upsetting Virginia. He also demands they stop dreaming about winning the lottery. In the end, Jimmy decides to go easy on his parents, and tells Hope it is better to dream than to give up on them.

Brian plans to confront conservative Rush Limbaugh upon learning he is in Quahog, but changes his own political views when Limbaugh comes to his rescue.

It's the summer of 1987, James Brennan, a recent college graduate, is looking for a job. After initial attempts to find employment prove unsuccessful, he eventually finds work at a local amusement park and learns it's the perfect course to prepare him for the real world.
