This Movie plays Push It performed by Linda Cardellini
This song, originally by Salt -n- Pepa, is sung by Linda Cardellini's character (Samantha) as a Karaoke performance.
When his roommate spends the rent money on Filipino hookers, Alex, a 35 year old video game tester has to find a new place to live when his landlord kicks him out. Alex then seeks help to stay at his marijuana dealer Dante's house, then later is turned down due to a lion from Africa that is already going to stay. After an "encounter" with his friend's mom, Alex is forced to move in with his grandmother. Alex has a hard time at first, but later gets to do his work by giving his grandma tickets to the Antique's Road Show. Alex then meets a "really hot woman who is swimming in the sea of virgins", Samantha. The only person in the way of Alex's relationship with Samantha, is the creator of the game they are all working on, EDS3, J.P., who talks in a robot voice all the time and wants to have metal legs. Trying to save face with his younger co-workers, Alex says that he is living "with three hot babes". After they all finish testing EDS3, Alex's boss, Mr. Cheezle, a really weird neo-hippie, tells Samantha to take the boys out to eat at a vegan restaurant and they make fun of the waiter's lifestyle. Alex comes home to find that his grandma and their two friends ate all of his pot, which they thought were tea. Alex then finds out that Samantha smokes weed too, and calls up Dante and throws a wild party. Towards the end of the film, J.P. steals the game Alex has been working on for two years, so his grandma plays J.P. to prove that it's Alex's game. In the end, we find out that Mr. Cheezle smokes and gets his weed from Dante.
