"Your Invitation to Join the Nation" This commercial begins with a choir-like song playing while people are doing some recreational rock climbing. While it is already light out, they get to the top of the rock just as the sun starts coming over some of the taller mountains in the distance. Next we see a baby laying in a crib with a pacifier in his mouth, and the parents coming in to pick him up. Later, a parent (grandparent?) is teaching his song how to drive on a deserted highway in the desert as the car jerkily rides down the road. Also shown is a grandmother teaching her young grandson to play the piano, followed by a young couple looking around and having fun at a flea market. Next a group of friends are at a restaurant where one of the guys orders a gigantic cheeseburger as big as a dinner platter, and the friends chant while he eats it. Then we see a bunch of young teenage girls in the back of a minivan or SUV singing along to a song where we infer that they are all out of tune, but are having fun anyway. Finally, a group of middle age friends runs out into the ocean in their clothes and later builds a fire to warm up. We are then shown a montage of a guy playing a guitar, a group of firemen, a couple painting vines and flowers on their wall, and quick shots of all the other people shown previously in the ad. At the end, the Nationwide logo (an "N" with an eagle under it) is shown on a waving, blue flag. Where do you belong. With the up-all-nighters? With the first-timers? With the matriarchs and patriarchs? With the explorers? With the triple-dog-darers? Or the way out of tuners? Wherever you belong, you belong where you're appreciated.
