"2014 Subaru Impreza - Dueling Imprezas" This Canadian ad with a woman and bearded man in the desert with a pair of Subaru Imprezas. They quickly run to their cars and start speeding around the desert, copying each other's driving moves while an electric guitar cover of "Dueling Banjos" plays in the background. Toward the middle, the woman and her car disappear, and then suddenly reappear driving backwards and keeping up with the man. The commercial begins with a Subaru Outback driving up a dirt road. They come to a gate that says "Road Closed", so they have to find another route. We see that it is a couple of newlyweds driving, and they are still in their tuxedo and wedding dress (with white flowers in the bride's hair). The continue driving down a remote dirt road and go spashing through a creek. who just got married. They have "Just Married" written in the dust on the back window of their car, and we can see that they are dragging the traditional tin cans on strings behind them. They pull up to a longhorn bull/cow standing in the middle of the road, and have to stop and try to get him to move, but eventually they just drive around him. Finally they pull up to their destination - a tent in a field with a nice wide cot and rose petals on it, and we learn that this is where they will spend the first night of their honeymoon. The groom gives his new bride a piggyback ride down the hill. Soon it starts raining and the tent falls down. The bride gets back in the car while the groom tried to get the tent set back up, but he just can't do it and ends up soaked. He ends up having to run up to the car himself. "That New Subaru Smell" This commercial is for the 2014 Subaru Forester. It begins with a brand new red Forester pulling into a driveway as two little girls excitedly shout, "New car!". The whole family comes outside to check out the new car, including the family dog, who ran through the sprinkler in the yard before jumping in the back of the Forester, shaking himself off. The father and one of his daughters are at a home improvement/garden store, loading bags of fertilizer into the back of the new Forester. One of the bags opens up, spilling fertilizer everywhere as the little girl waves her hand in front of her nose, disgusted with the smell. In the backseat, the two daughters are playing around, taking off their shoes and hitting each other with their stinky socks, as mom is in the front seat, wincing at the smell of dirty socks and shoes. The father stands at the back of the parked Forester, using the back cargo space to change his baby's diaper as the older girls watch and say "Ewww". At the end of the ad, the parents are dressed up for a night out. They get in the Forester and smell the air, looking at each other and smiling, knowing that the odor in the car is from their many happy family adventures. New car!
