"Teach a taxi driver new tricks"
Imagine if you were illegally turned away by a taxi or minicab. How would you feel? Upset? Angry? Embarrassed? This happens to people living with sight loss with shocking regularity, just because they are accompanied by a guide dog. The charity Guide Dogs is campaigning to end this everyday form of discrimination. We want tougher sentences for taxi and minicab drivers who illegally turn away guide dog owners.
In the video, Bafta award winning actor Jason Watkins, comedians Toby Williams and Paul F Taylor show in a funny sketch how someone with sight loss is illegally refused a taxi ride because they are with their guide dog.

Hey, Saul. You've got a pickup.
Oh, great. You've got one of those, have you?
Queen Mary Park please.
Oh, the park. Wonderful.
Oh, he loves the park. Yes, you do.
You're so patronizing.
Listen, I'm not going to anywhere with him in the back.
He doesn't bite.
Well, he might.
I'm a pacifist.
He'll ruin my interior.
I'd have a job.
Listen, you're alright, mate, but I don't want his kind in the back of my cab.
There it is. I knew it. Wow. His kind. I said it Stephen. Didn't I say it? I'll have you know I'm a hard working professional.
Yeah, he smells.
Don't, Stephen. He's not worth it.
It's my cab, and I decide who gets in.
I rely on him. I can't leave the house without him.
I'm pretty sure this is illegal.
I've got an allergy.
You've got an allergy.
Why didn't you say before.
What are you allergic to?
That. I'm sorry, you're just not getting in.
Today, someone living with sight loss won't be able to go to the park, visit a friend or get to work because a taxi driver has illegally refused to take their guide dog.
Imagine if that was you.
