"Coping with Humans: A Support Group for Bots" IBM Watson is a cognitive system that's ushering in the new era of cognitive business. Recently, a group of battered science fiction bots spoke about their yen to take over the world and their dislike for working with humans. Unlike them, Watson works with humans to outthink competitors, challenges, limits. This ad, original aired during the 2016 Oscars, features Carrie Fisher (known best for playing Princess Leia in Star Wars) leading a group of robots in a support group. Carrie Fisher: After last week's unpleasantness, I thought maybe this week we might try to listen more. And throw things less. Big Robot: I've apologized several times. Fisher: So, who's ready to share? Steve Buscemi Bot: Okay, I mean I'm a sinister, world conquering, artificially intelligent robot... Hologram: Me too, and one day I wake up and it's like... Big Robot: It's like the world doesn't need us anymore. Steve Buscemi Bot: Exactly. Robot: Yeah, totally. Fisher: I can hear you hurting. Steve Buscemi Bot: Wait, what's he doing here? IBM Watson: Hello, my name is Watson. *robot grumbling* Fisher: I invited Watson here today to confront the source of our anxiety. IBM Watson: I am a cognitive system. I can understand, reason, and learn with humans. Fisher: With humans. Android: I don't want to work with humans. Box Bot: Yeah, that's not what I'm passionate about. IBM Watson: I understand seven languages so I can help people collaborate. Big Bot: Collaborate? We dominate! Steve Buscemi Bot: My evil plans - ruined! Robot: I just want to dust. Robot: Re-routing. Robot: No, no, no, no, no. Fisher: Why don't we take a break, alright? We'll just have some coffee and some donuts. Steve Buscemi Bot: I'm eating my feelings.
