Plot / Description

When Shadow Moon is released from prison, he meets the mysterious Mr. Wednesday and a storm begins to brew. Little does Shadow know, this storm will change the course of his entire life. Left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife, and suddenly hired as Mr. Wednesday’s bodyguard, Shadow finds himself in the center of a world that he struggles to understand. It’s a world where magic is real, where the Old Gods fear both irrelevance and the growing power of the New Gods, like Technology and Media. Mr. Wednesday seeks to build a coalition of Old Gods to defend their existence in this new America, and reclaim some of the influence that they’ve lost. As Shadow travels across the country with Mr. Wednesday, he struggles to accept this new reality, and his place in it. "American Gods | STARZ"

What's a god? They're real if you believe in them. So, who are you? You wouldn't believe in me if I told you. This is my man, Shadow Moon. He does not know our world. I'm easing him in. You've gotten yourself mixed up in some really weird shit, Shadow. You think I'm spent? You're as forgotten and unloved as any of us. I'm doing just fine. You trying to start a war? We're at war already, and we're losing. Who's after you? Times they are a-changing. We need you to fight them, to show them who we are. They are gods for God's sake! So what's the plan? War. None of this feels real. It feels like a dream. Things are never going back to the way they were. We will be glorious, win or lose. (Lyrics) Deliver me (deliver me) Deliver me (deliver me) To the kingdom of my Lord And He will walk by my side All my days (all my days) Yes He will Please deliver me
