Being on a Lacrosse team brings these young girls together from the southern part of the city to create a sisterhood. We are better together than we are alone.

Do the little things well. Get low on the ground balls. Find space on offense. Hustle on defense. Talk, talk, talk. ... was great, put in a lot of effort...  
I remember thinking, wouldn't it be nice if kids in the Southern part of the city could have the fun of playing lacrosse too.  
...very intentional about your drills. A lot of people have your backs here. We're a family. Okay?  
Lacrosse almost became like a sisterhood. Like a club or a sorority. A family.  
Hype on three. One two three - Hype! Hype! Hype!  
And they did not win a game for three years, but they loved the sport.  
We're still on that streak, by the way.  
The hardest part, really, was bringing the parents around. We were trying to build a bridge between an under-served part of the city and a wealthier part of the city through this incredible sport of lacrosse. And we came up with an acronym: BRIDGE which stands for Building Relationships to Initiate Diversity, Growth, and Enrichment.  
So do you all think you should be Badgers or Honey Badgers?  
Just the term "Bridge" really spoke to what we were trying to do. We had equipment donated. We had - coaches donated their time. We had fields donated. It was never about one person, and never about one team. It's just a whole community of people really working together.
