The first thing I thought was like, "Oh my gosh, this picture's in focus."
You just really follow the football the entire time because you don't know what's going to happen. Who knew that Nick Foles would have a touchdown pass thrown to him?
I was actually in the opposite end zone from where the Philly Special occurred.
I'm photographing with a 600 millimeter. So you have no peripheral at all. You literally have tunnel vision, but that gave me direct line of sight to the play from 110 yards away. The skies opened up and the sea parted for that play to like happen in front of me and be able to quickly move the camera to Nick Foles, at the right second, at the right time.
You can just see the biggest smile on Nick Foles face of just how big of a catch and moment that was. We are documenting history. You look back at some of these pictures and you're like, wow, these could be like kind of iconic images for people to just remember that point of view, where they were, when that game took place.
