Well, it's the Super Bowl? It was a gut call. We all have gut reactions in life-- because I know this play is going to work to give us six points. That's what we need right now in this game, I just felt the huddle. I felt the field. It was all a disguise and deception to make the defense sort of step back and say, "What are they doing?" Snap to the running back, lateral to the tight end, tight end rolls out and throws it to the QB that is in the flat. But I remember when I was going out to the right, the end was a little wider than we had sorta prepared for... So I got over there, and I just paused and looked back for a second. And then once I felt him move inside a little bit, I knew I had it. There's no one around me. Time's sort sorta is in slow motion. You can see me really just look the ball in right here to the catch point and then just tuck it. I didn't have a end zone celebration. I wasn't really preparing for it. So I think I just screamed. I'm just really grateful I didn't drop it. And it ended up being a beautiful play that ultimately gave us six points in one of the greatest games ever. Nick Foles - Super Bowl LII MVP

You just really follow the football the entire time because you don't know what's going to happen. Who knew that Nick Foles would have a touchdown pass thrown to him? I was actually in the opposite end zone from where the Philly Special occurred. I'm photographing with a 600 millimeter. So you have no peripheral at all. You literally have tunnel vision, but that gave me direct line of sight to the play from 110 yards away. The skies opened up and the sea parted for that play to like happen in front of me and be able to quickly move the camera to Nick Foles, at the right second, at the right time. You can just see the biggest smile on Nick Foles face of just how big of a catch and moment that was. We are documenting history. You look back at some of these pictures and you're like, wow, these could be like kind of iconic images for people to just remember that point of view, where they were, when that game took place. And now that he's getting older, he really likes the idea of secrets. I'm a lifelong Eagles fan. I would say, Sam, I have a secret play for you. This is what we're going to do. It's called the Philly special. I didn't go to a super bowl party. There was just too much pressure that day. And I couldn't take the disappointment of being in the stadium, having traveled all that way if they lost again. So I stayed home with my family, a Philly cheesesteak, and the big screen TV. And I was all in. When the Eagles are in the red zone. Anything could happen. I'm watching with incredible concentration holding my breath. When the ball was snapped. There was this moment of what the, seeing all the misdirection. Nick Foles gets lost in the shuffle. And next thing you know, he's catching a touchdown pass. So I was watching at a very fun, very rowdy Patriots bar. The Eagles were up by three, going into the half. They came back out onto the field. I was still feeling very confident at that point in the game. We thought that if they were lining up, it was more going to be a quarterback sneak situation. When they actually ran the play, it happened in slow motion before our eyes. And all of a sudden Nick Foles is, is catching a touchdown in the end zone. You were kind of like, wait, what did I just see? You've got to be kidding me. We were shocked. Disbelief my friend that I was with cried. So three years later, I can appreciate it as a football fan. My name is Craig, owner of a fancy hot dog stand at US Bank Stadium. The Chicago-style dog... that's always been the favorite for all of the events. And it was for the Super Bowl, too. I mean, that had everything on it: the pickles, the sport peppers, the onions, tomato, the yellow mustard, celery salt, neon green relish. I was going to do kind of a "Philly Special" with the Philly cheese steak... ...it just didn't work out. When I saw Nick Foles kind of run over to the side-- I've never seen anything like that before. You know, when you see something like that happen, it's kind of confusing. My buddy next to me was actually... he was laughing. He's like "We just saw one of the greatest plays ever." I was really loud. Like it was a huge roar. I was at Superbowl 52 in the corner of the end zone watching the game live, but I don't remember watching the Philly special. I didn't see it. It was all a blur to me. That's I guess how hyped up I was. I'm a nervous wreck. There's no doubt about it. And I really didn't realize it until two o'clock in the morning when he arrived at the hotel and told us what happened. And I said, no, you didn't. And sure enough, he did. And then I went and watched it and I went, "Wow, this is pretty incredible." I'm sure I was watching the game and enjoying it. It's just still hard to believe that it happened. I think because of who Nick was-- a backup-- playing the goat, and for Nick to have the insight to go over and request that play... he had confidence. "I'm going to catch this ball. Let's run it. Let's score here at 4th and 1." It was probably one of the most remarkable days of our lives to see Nick play in a Super Bowl-- and play at that level-- against the greatest ever.
