Plot / Description

The commercial begins with a cityscape at night, buildings brightly lit up against the dark night sky. A man on a bus watches a video on his Samsung Galaxy S II, of his child walking. Little boys are seen running across a gym floor/indoor basketball court. An older boy runs across a field. A video of a track star running is shown. A young girl watches a video of Martin Luther King, Jr. giving a speech. A crowd of people cheers on a motorcycle jump event. A video of Rocky plays, with Rocky's famous scene on top of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. A group of young boys are in a bowling alley, watching a clip of the television show Aqua Teen Hunger Force. A girl watches a clip of a funny wedding entrance, with the bride wearing sunglasses, dancing down the aisle in the church. Another girl watches a video of Bethany Hamilton surfing. A woman sings and dances in front of her mirror, using her hairbrush as a pretend microphone. A video of the film 'I Love You Man' is shown. A little boy wearing a Batman costume pushing a shopping cart, runs down the aisle of a grocery store, laughing and having fun - he is later seen jumping off his bed, still wearing his Batman costume. Videos of concerts are watched on the Samsung Galaxy S II phones. A couple, sitting upside down in a chair uses the phone to look up a Supernova video.

Voiceover / Dialog / Script / Spoken Word

Nobody ever set their sights on second place. Who aspires to be almost remembered? There's a reason there are no giant foam fingers that say "We're number 3". No one wants to tell an average joke, make an underwhelming entrance, go out with a whimper. No one ever stood in front of a mirror with a hairbrush pretending to be the tambourine player. And there are definitely more kids dressed as Batman, than Robin. We all aspire. So when we built the new Samsung Galaxy S II, we built it to be the best and brightest, with the most vivid screen out there, on our fastest phone ever. Because we're Samsung. And that's just the way we're wired. The Samsung Galaxy S II
