Volkswagen Commercial - The Bark Side

The Dog Strikes Back This Big Game commercial begins with a dog laying on a couch, a bright red car drives by, and the dog slowly gets up from the couch to go chase it. He gets to the doggie door, but can't fit through it because he is too fat. He gets sad and depressed looking at his big belly in the mirror, but decides to do something about it... exercise! He takes a red tennis ball and drops it down the stairs and chases after it, and then carries it back up and does it again, and again. Next we see him walking on the treadmill, and pulling weights stacked on a rug with his teeth. He watches a ball aerobics video and does the exercises along with it, followed by more weight training. Later we see him in the kitchen where his owner is making dinner and dropping food on the floor. He is keeping to a strict diet too, because he doesn't even touch the cut up hot dogs, or any of the food the baby drops. He runs laps in the yard outside all year (it goes from winter to summer), and even does laps in the pool. After shaking off the water, he looks in the mirror and gives himself an approving bark because he has lost so much weight. Next time the red Volkswagen Beetle drives by, he's not laying on the couch, and he immediately runs out the doggy door (which he fits through just fine now), jumps through the "V" in a tree and races the car down the block. This is the end of the "commercial", but then the camera zooms back and we see that it is an HDTV in the Star Wars Cantina Bar (aka, "Mos Eisley Cantina" or "Chalmun's Cantina") and the alien patrons are watching the commercial too. Some of the bar customers are arguing which was better - this year's dog commercial for the Beetle, or last year's "Vader Kid" commercial for the Passat. The alien guy with the big, crooked nose says the dog is much funnier than the child playing Vader when all of a sudden, he grabs his neck and can't breath. It turns out Darth Vader himself is in the bar and is upset that the guy doesn't think his commercial was as funny, and he's using the Force to choke him. Vader finally lets him go, and the guy apologizes. Back, and better than ever. Oh, that was great! I miss that Vader kid. The dog's better. Are you kidding, the dog is funnier than the Vader kid. "VW Routan Hide and Seek with Dora" The commercial begins with an exterior shot of the Volkswagen Routan (VW minivan) which is shaking. The windshield wipers start going, and then we see what is causing all the commotion - it's Dora the Explorer and her friend Boots the Monkey. Boots is hiding in the front panel / glove compartment, and then in one of the floor compartments. Dora climbs over the back seat into the very back of the mini-van, and Boots is already in the floor storage back there. We see that there are (real) children near a tree counting - obviously playing hide-n-seek with the cartoon characters. The parents come up right when the children are done counting and open the door with the remote entry. The children "find" Dora on the DVD player, and the dad discovers that he is sitting on a Dora-themed bag. 1, 2, 3... But where do we go next? 5, 6, 7... Come on Boots, this way. This commercial shows an outdoor wooded scene. As the camera pans down, we see a line of black beetles walking along. All of a sudden, rock music starts playing, and a black beetle with white racing stripes comes speeding by all the other bugs. He runs across a log bridge over a creek, shoots and skids past a centipede that walks out in front of him, jumps down a ravine full of mushrooms and toadstools, flies past two fighting praying mantises who stop to watch. It continues around a curve with a cliff on one side, passed a crowd of ants coming toward him, and finally jumps off a log high into the air and passes some dandelions before landing on a rock. As the color fades to black, a silhouette of the bug becomes a silhouette of a car - the new VW Beetle. The 21st century Beetle coming this fall. VW - That's Das Auto

"Punch Dub" (PunchDub) Shows a Volkswagen Beetle (i.e., a "Punch Bug") drive by, and a little boy punches the other boy sitting next to him. Then a woman sees another VW (not a Beetle) and punches her bus driver. Two women are walking in their neighborhood and sees a parked VW and punches her friend. Two state troopers sitting in their car, and the officer in the passenger seat punches the driver. There is then a whole montage of people punching each other finishing with a little boy who punches an old man in the crotch. The commercial continues with one EMT in an ambulance punching another EMT, and punches continue including a waitress punching a customer which causes him to spill his coffee. A pregnant woman in labor punches her husband while in the car, an Amish man punches another while riding in a horse-drawn carriage, a guy punches his sleeping friend. Punches continue. Finally we see Tracy Morgan get punched by Stevie Wonder (who is blind) after yelling "Red one!". Morgan can't understand how he does it. Yellow one! (punch) Blue one! (punch) Red one! (punch) White one! (punch) Black one! (punch) Silver one! (punch) Green one! (punch) Stevie Wonder: Red one! Tracy Morgan: How do you do that? Stevie Wonder: Ha! Tracy Morgan: Ha nothin'. "The new Polo - For Life's Adventurers" Check out the brand new advert for the new Polo. Ready for Life's Adventurers. This ad shows a young boy growing up and the evolution of his need for speed. It starts with a tricycle, a go-kart, bike, and a motorcycle. His father watches him, but let's him do as he pleases and just gets the first aid kid (or a trip to the hospital) when it's needed. Then the boy grows up and gets a VW. The boy doesn't do anything more safely, but the car is able to protect him by giving blind spot warnings, and automatically braking for pedestrians. Ready?
