The Entrance
This commercial begins with a cool, smooth, bearded man (Eric Monjoin) getting out of a fancy car and entering a building with a doorman. When he enters the building, everyone is very well dressed (tuxedos and gowns), and the man greets everyone he sees - all of whom are happy to see him. One of the waiters offers the man a martini, but he declines instead reaching for a Heineken bottle. Unfortunately, he is pulled away by one of the guests to greet foreign dignitaries from Africa and India, and does not get his beer. Another of the foreign people is a man in military dress uniform with an eye patch. The man gives the military officer a glass eye and continues into the party.
Suddenly he sees a hefty man with a big mustache, and they stare each other down as if they are going to fight. The fat man makes a move as if to pull a gun, and the cool guy does the same, but is faster, and as he takes his "shot" we see they are just pretending by using their fingers as their "guns". The large man falls back into a group of beautiful women as if he's been shot, and then they both laugh and hug as if they are old friends. The walk further into the party together as people take pictures.
Again, suddenly, the man looks as if something is wrong, and he pulls the tablecloth out from under a table full of plates and glasses, and wipes the corner of a woman's mouth with it. Someone throws him a basketball and he runs into the next room while giving high fives to everyone and makes the shot "at the buzzer". As soon as this happens an Asian martial arts artist comes jumping and flipping into the room. The cool man bows as if they are going to fight, and turns to a man who holds up some sort of jewel or expensive item. The cool man takes it and it turns into a bird that makes the man serious man who gave it to him smile. He turns back to the martial arts man, and one of the waiters brings over a Heineken on a tray before the fight. The two men "fight" over the beer bottle in an interesting choreographed performance with the bottle, but in the end, the cool guy give the bottle to the kung-fu man who smiles.
Someone throws the cool guy something which he spins around like it's a baton, but it turns out that it's a flute. He walks up to the pretty blonde girl (Mette Lindberg) who has been singing the background song the whole time and starts playing along with the band. The same waiter we have seen through the commercial again brings the man a beer which he holds up victorious as everyone dances.
For some reason, a lot of people think the blond singer is Avril Lavigne. It is actually Mette Lindberg, lead singer for the Danish band, The Asteroids Galaxy Tour.
(Lyrics)
I wished I lived in the golden age
Giving it up on the broadway stage
Hang with the rats and smoke cigars
Just have a break with Frank and count the stars
Dressed to the nines, we've had too much
Shiny jewels, casino cash
Tapping feet, wanna take the lead
A trip back in time is all I need
Oh!
Sing it out loud gonna get back honey
Sing it out loud get away with me
Sing it out loud on a trip back honey
Sing it out loud and let yourself free
Whoo
I'm on my way, gonna make it big
Gonna make these songs for the chicks to dig
It's really hot and a little bit sour
We're getting your strength to the maximum power
Flying away from reality
Whatever-ever happened to gravity?
I see it clear, a shooting star
And I'm really gonna sing it like da-da-da
Sing it out loud gonna get back honey
Sing it out loud get away with me
Sing it out loud on a trip back honey
Sing it out loud and let yourself free
Yeah!
Heineken
