GE Locomotive Commercial

The commercial begins with a shot of a guy plugging his car into a GE WattStation (black top with GE logo, and blue stand). He meets up with a bunch of friends and they drive off with a full car. They go to a carnival (or some place with carnival rides) later that night and find another Watt Station to plug into. They drive to the beach and numerous other places. Each destination that go to they get something to hang on the rear view mirror, and soon it is a huge mess of beads, keychains, air fresheners, fuzzy dice, and more. Finally they get to a hotel and plug their car in again. While the world's been waiting on the electric car, maybe the whole time, the electric car has been waiting for this. The WattStation from GE. "Childlike Imagination - What My Mom Does at GE" (NOTE TO READERS: This commercial also has a "What My Dad Does at GE" version. Please see the connections.) This ad introduces several little girls who tell us amazing stories about what their mothers do at work. It begins out in the water on a peaceful moonlit night, with a little girl sitting on a boat. She tells us that her mom makes underwater fans that are powered by the moon. We then see her mom in a submarine monitoring underwater power turbines being spun by the power of the tides (which, of course, are caused by the moon). The next little girl is shown looking at a giant, empty birdcage. She looks up in the sky and sees airplanes with bird wings flying through the air. She tells us that her mom makes airplane engines that can talk. The third young girl narrates as a giant hand reaches out of the sky and picks up a hospital building and places it in the palm of its other hand. The girl tells us that her mom makes hospitals that you can hold in your hand. A doctor inside this hospital is shown holding a smartphone-sized device that is able to monitor her patients. Another girl walks out of her house into the desert where a giant futuristic machine is "printing" a jet engine. She tells us her mom can print amazing things while sitting at her computer. The last little girl sits on a hill and watches a long train wind through the countryside as the trees all around the track wave to the engine because is is clean running. "Knight Rider and the Locomotive (GE TV Commercial)" This commercial, narrated by K.I.T.T. (William Daniels) shows this famous car driving through a factory. KITT says that while a talking car is impressive, a talking train locomotive is even more impressive. The car drives out of the factory and starts following a long train across the country.
