Description
"Apple - Designed By Apple - Intention" This commercial was released shortly after the 2013 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) keynote address. The ad features mostly words and phrases on the screen along-side simple animations of lines and circles telling us how the design process at Apple works.
Written Text
If everyone is busy making everything, how can anyone perfect anything? We start to confuse convenience with joy, abundance with choice. Designing something requires focus. The first thing we ask is, what do we want people to feel? Delight, surprise, love, connection? Then we begin to craft around our intention. It takes time... There are a thousand no's for every yes. We simplify, we perfect, we start over, until everything we touch enhances each life it touches. Only then do we sign our work. Designed by Apple in California

"Check" This commercial shows some of the apps that allow you to "check" things such as the skiing/snow conditions on the mountain, the number of calories in your meal, or where you parked the car. What's great about the iPhone is that if you want to check snow conditions on the mountain, there's an app for that. If you want to check how many calories are in your lunch, there's an app for that. And if you want to check where, exactly, you parked the car, there's even an app for that. Yep, there an app for just about anything. Only on the iPhone. "Dream" This commercial begins with professional women's tennis players Venus and Serena Williams standing in front of a ping pong table waiting to serve. As the game of table tennis begins, the two sisters begin returning the balls (yes, two at the same time) on the same table. The "player" is actually having a dream about doing this, and easily keeping up with these tennis pros. He's able to do this because he's put his iPhone 5 in "Do Not Disturb" mode so it's not going to ring and wake him up. He pulls out his iPhone while still playing ping pong and shows us the new feature, and when he's done explaining it, he finishes off both women who get upset at getting beat. Ever have a really cool dream? I'm having one right now. I don't want to be disturbed, and I won't because before I went to sleep I set this. Now my iPhone knows not to ring unless it's important. Because disturbing this would just be wrong. Do Not Disturb - On/Off Allow Calls From: Everyone, No One, Favorites iPhone 5

"Lemmings" This commercial was Apple's failed attempt to break into the business market with their "Macintosh Office" product line of computers. It aired during the 1985 Super Bowl and showed typical office workers as lemmings - a rodent that is said to follow the crowd of other lemmings even if they jump off a cliff. The shows these lemming workers as blindfolded men trudging away off a cliff until one man decides to take his blindfold off right before he falls. He looks behind him and sees the next group of lemmings coming and starts to think for himself. Apple would not make another Super Bowl commercial for another 14 years. On January 23rd, Apple Computer will announce The Macintosh Office. You can look into it, or you can go on with business as usual. Lemmings The Macintosh Office
