At Popisms.com, we show you how pop culture (TV, movies, books, ads) is connected to other pop culture. For example, what song is in that Olympics commercial or TV episode? What book is that character reading? What music is another song sampling? We answer these questions and many more.

Plot / Description

"Save the boy - St John Ambulance first aid advert"
This emotional advert shows a man playing football (soccer) with his son, while someone who we assume is the mother/wife is inside doing dishes and looking out the window. The man's cell phone rings and he answers it. While the father is talking, the boy decides to climb a tree. While climbing, a branch breaks, and he slips and falls from high up in the tree. At the same time, the woman gets a worried look on her face and runs outside while the announcer tells us that she is a Saint John Ambulance volunteer. Unfortunately, this woman wasn't actually in the same place as the father and son, and she was just running outside to get her laundry out of the rain. The father is alone and doesn't know what to do, but YOU can learn first aid with St. John Ambulance in case you ever need it.

Oh yeah.
You know those ones...
Oh, hold on. I got to get this buddy. Hello, Martin. Wasn't expecting to hear from you today. Wasn't Steve supposed to be sorting that out on Friday?
Alice is one of thousands of St. John Ambulance volunteers. She's fully trained in first aid and knows what to do in any situation.
Say something, Billy!
She can be the difference between life and death, but what she can't do is be there every time.
Breathe, Billy. HELP! HELP!
