"Subaru - They Lived"
This ad, based on a true story, starts out at the scene of a highway accident in the evening. A Subaru Outback is so badly damaged, that it cannot be towed and is on a flat bed truck. The police officer handling the accident tells the truck operator that "they lived", and the driver is quite surprised. The car is taken to a junk yard, and one of the workers stops the driver to look at the terrible mess the car is in, but the driver also tells him, "they lived". The worker tells a heavy machinery operator the same story in two words as well - "they lived".
We then move to a family home where parents and two children going out to their new Subaru Outback, and the father says, "we lived". This was the family in the accident, and the safety features of this and other Subaru models allowed them to survive the terrible crash.
Inspired by letters from real Subaru owners, a Subaru gives its life to save its occupants
