Growing up, my dad, um, instilled in me that, you know, no matter what you're doing, you have to do it at your best of your abilities. And, uh, that went for around the house, doing work around the house to, to on the ice. I saw him go out there, you know he had two jobs, he was, he was mowing lawns, working at his shop just to get me through hockey, to pay for it. And, uh, you know, you see him doing that, it was hard for me not to, to push myself on the ice and, you know, do the best I could to try to, try to make something out of it. I'm a father now, a new father, and you know, I hope I'm, I'm half the parent that you were to me.
