When one of Michael's oldest friends is murdered by a gang, he and the victim's brother work together to take down the gang responsible. On orders of Anson, Michael uses the computer virus he obtained in the previous episode, to delete information in the CIA files about Anson, eliminating the evidence of his crimes.

Garfield plays Harry Morgan a penniless fishing hire proprietor whose business is on the skids and whose family is feeling the economic pinch. He begins to work with a shady lawyer who persuades him to run illegal immigrants into California. When this goes wrong he comes even more under the influence of the lawyer who blackmails him into helping the escape of a gang of crooks who pull a racetrack heist.

Easy Company battles near Foy, Belgium, losing numerous men. The episode examines and questions the actions of 1st Lieutenant Norman Dike, the Company's commander. He is eventually relieved by 1st Lieutenant Ronald Speirs, who becomes the Company's new leader. Serving as narrator is First Sergeant Carwood Lipton, who attempts to keep the morale of the men up as they endure their trials in the forest near Foy, earning him a battlefield promotion to 2nd Lieutenant for his leadership ability.

Amelia checks into rehab after her fling (later finacee) dies from a drug overdose. She meets 18-year-old Hayley (Debby Ryan), who trys to get her to see that she didn't make him take the pills.
