The two-man crew of the charter boat S.S. Minnow and five passengers on a "three hour tour" run into a tropical storm and are shipwrecked on an uncharted, uninhabited island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean.

The show focused on an upper middle-class, African American couple, George and Louise Jefferson (George and Weezy). The show was launched as the second spin-off of All in the Family, on which the Jeffersons had been the neighbors of Archie and Edith Bunker.

Carrie heads out, in the middle of a blizzard, to do some shopping. She purchases an iPod, but the cashier fails to properly scan the device, and Carrie isn't charged for it. When she tries to speak up about the mistake, the cashier is too busy making a personal phone call, and dismisses Carrie's attempt to do the right thing. On her way home, Carrie's car gets stuck in the snow, and she finds a church where she can wait inside until AAA arrives to help her. While she's waiting, she tells the priest her moral dilemma about the iPod, and ends up making several trips back and forth, in the terrible weather, trying to ease her conscious by doing what is morally correct. Meanwhile, Doug makes a delivery to a house where he is invited inside and out of the cold. He quickly wears out his welcome when he starts handing out unwelcomed relationship advice to the couple.
