Carrie decides that the basement, where Arthur's sleeps, is too cold for him to stay during a cold snap. She sets up a temporary room for him upstairs in the office to ride out the cold spell. The below-freezing temperatures last longer than they expect, and having Arthur right across the hall is more than they bargained for. When the weather finally begins to warm up, they hope that Arthur will return to his room in the basement so they can have the upstairs back to themselves again. However, it seems that Arthur has gotten quite comfortable with the new set up and has no intentions of going back to the basement.
