Jay says he's only asked for Phil's help once in 10 years, and remarks that Phil won't shut up about it (setting up his wireless printer). There is a flash back to the episode 'Dance Dance Revelation' when Phil asks Jay about the printer while tying Luke's tie, and again while at the Dude Ranch, as Jay and Phil are on horses.
Before Luke and Manny's first school dance Jay and Phil take them to the mall which turns disastrous. Claire is in charge of organizing the school dance and Gloria joins the committee despite Claire telling her there was enough help. Claire soons get jealous when Gloria starts taking charge and everyone really appreciates it. Meanwhile, Cameron and Mitchell discover at the playground that Lily has become a biter.
