Doug and Carrie's romantic weekend getaway has turned in to a miserable time in the woods. Doug is trying to make the best of the situation, but Carrie is still upset over his mistake of thinking it was her he took to the mountain lodge, when it was actually a former girlfriend.
Doug takes Carrie out on the lake for a Canoe ride, and they end up getting lost in the woods for the night. They decide to go their separate ways when they can't agree on which way is the right way out. In the end, they find each other and make up.

Doug has recently lost a lot of weight, and to celebrate, he wants to take Carrie away for a romantic weekend. He surprises her with a trip to the lakeside lodge they went to many years before, but the surprise is on him when he discovers that it wasn't Carrie, but a former girlfriend with whom he spent a very romantic weekend at this lakeside retreat all those years ago.
