In the second half of the two-part season finale, Taylor is in grieving over Lt. Wash's death, sitting alone until he is interupted by Zoe, who starts talking about Alicia and how much she liked her and all the cool things she taught her to do during survival training, because with out her, Zoe wouldn't have known how to do so many things. Jim and Commander Taylor continue disrupting the Phoenix Group's operations. The damaged terminus has been repaired, and the first shipment of new world resources are readied to be sent to 2149. Jim delivers Lt. Washington's final message to Commander Taylor, who realizes they can only defeat the Phoenix Group by destroying the bridge to 2149. Skye deceives Lucas into leaving the Phoenix Group convoy to instead hunt his father, leading him into an ambush that provides Taylor an opportunity to swap a shipping container containing valuable cargo from the Badlands with one hiding Jim, a bomb, and a drugged Carnotaurus. With the now-awake, raging Carnotaurus creating havoc inside Hope Plaza, Jim destroys the facility and the time portal as he barely slips back into the new world. Skye shoots Lucas to save Commander Taylor, but Lucas survives and disappears. Discovering they are cut off from 2149, the Phoenix Group and the Sixers evacuate Terra Nova and head for the Badlands. The valuable cargo from the Badlands is revealed to be an 18th century ship's prow and figurehead with little indication of how it got there.
