Description
The Clipper Majestic crew is off to Rome on another flight but Dean has decided to break things off with Ginny, who is still the mistress of a Pan Am executive. She tells Dean she loves him, but he says it's not the real thing. When Dean follows through and breaks up with Ginny, she takes it pretty hard. Meanwhile, Colette is put in charge of looking after a precocious and unescorted 12-year-old boy, named Charlie, who develops a crush on her. Kate is still deeply in love with Niko, the handsome Yugoslavian diplomat that she's been ordered to turn toward U.S. interests. He tells her he can't go to Rome with her, which is good, because when she gets there, a strange man shoves her to the ground and tells her to stay away from Niko. Laura spends her time in Rome trying to convince everyone, especially herself, that she's not some little kid anymore due to the Life magazine article about her, and her run-in with the photographer. She and Kate end up having a talk about first times and experiencing the world in Rome, and when Laura returns to New York, she doesn't sleep with the photographer, but she does let him take nude photos of her. Also, Maggie decides to tell Mr. Henson about Ginny and Dean's secret romance.
