In New York, Alvin Sanders is a small-time thief who's just been hauled in for stealing a bunch of prawns (shrimp) from a local restaurant. He ends up in a cell with John Jaster, one half of a high-tech criminal team that's just stolen $42,000,000 worth of gold from the Federal Reserve. Realizing that he could die at any moment from his worsening heart condition, Jaster tells Alvin to relay a cryptic message to his wife about the whereabouts of the hidden gold. Alvin doesn't know exactly what the message means, and Edgar Clenteen, the U.S. Treasury investigator working the case, hopes it will lead to the gold or Jaster's partner Bristol, but it does neither. Eighteen months later, Jaster is dead, and both Clenteen and Bristol are still looking for that gold. Clenteen decides to secretly plant a tracking device in Alvin's jaw, release him from prison, and then let the word out that he knows where the gold is hidden...

Colonel Ryan is shut down by his contacts in Washington when Jonas becomes a prisoner of war in Georgia. Since his contacts refuse to cooperate with him, Colonel Ryan sends the team to rescue Jonas. On base, Tiffy learns she may face time in prison for her involvement in covering up Charlotte's reckless driving.

The team searches for a Erica Palmer and her two children, Harley and Matt. They are last seen boarding a yacht which is later found adrift in New York's Harbor with only its dead captain aboard. The family's extreme wealth leads the team to believe a ransom call may be due to Benjamin, the anxious father of the family. But it is a set of photos, taken by a business rival, which provides the most clues. When the young son of the family is found floating in a dinghy, the team are able to obtain essential information that leads them to believe the family was not actually the target of the apparent kidnapping, but rather the boat itself. Meanwhile, the team goes to a bar to raise a toast to Jack, who is due to leave the squad in Vivian's hands the next day. As they leave the bar, Sam and Martin's relationship takes a huge step forward when she asks him to go home with her. Back at the Malone house, Maria devastates Jack with the news that she no longer wants to be married to him, and intends to take their daughters to Chicago without him.

Betas is a television series released in 2013 on Amazon Instant Video. The show stars Joe Dinicol and Karan Soni as "dating app" developers in California who are looking for an investor. The app featured in the show, BRB, was inspired by an actual Silicon Valley start-up named Nearby.

Bette is a CBS television show which premiered on October 11, 2000, and was the debut of the entertainer Bette Midler in a lead TV series role. A "one-season wonder", 16 episodes were aired on CBS, with its final telecast on March 7, 2001. Eighteen episodes in total were produced, with the final two broadcast on HDTV simulcasting and in foreign markets. Bette was created by Jeffrey Lane, with Midler serving as one of the executive producers.
