At Authority headquarters, the Chancellors revel in the afterglow of the recent events. However, Eric sobers after his message from Godric, but Nora will not back away from her newfound ideology. Bill is shaken by a distant memory when he is persuaded by Salome to feed, and afterwords, Bill proposes blowing up all the True Blood producing factories in the USA, telling Eric that he is "evolving". Helped by Claude and his fairy sisters, Sookie and Jason visit the site of their parents’ deaths in an attempt to learn the identity of the vampire that killed Mr. and Mrs. Stackhouse that night, with shocking results. An emotional Luna escapes from the hospital after morphing into Sam and she cannot change back. Sam continues to help Andy try to find the vigilantes hunting shifters and other supernatural beings. Hoyt’s new friends bring him a present; Jessica whom they try to persuade him to kill. Hoyt instead frees Jessica, but refuses to associate with her anymore. Meanwhile, Tara has a run-in at Fangtasia with an old high school rival whom Pam glamours to be Tara's personal blood bank. Elsewhere, Lafayette returns home from his harrowing adventure in Mexico where Arlene and Holly persuade him to lead a séance to purge the Ifrit curse on Terry and Patrick. Also, J.D. ups the stakes of his fight with Alcide when he persuades him to hunt down a teenage boy. Alcide is forced to forfeit his right to leadership, and Martha stops J.D. from killing Alcide.
