At Stoolfest, a local community festival, Cleveland calls Holt to tell him of a concert. he finds Holt out shopping with his mother and unable to go. Later that night at The Broken Stool, the guys tell Holt he is too accommodating to his mother's wishes. When Donna sees Holt in a rage from their bedroom, she shows Cleveland and when they see Holt rolling up a figure in a carpet and take it away they assume Holt killed his mother. Cleveland helps the police set up a police sting operation and get Holt to show them where he buried the body...a sex doll that Holt decided he needed to get away from. Holt admits to Cleveland he hasn't had luck with real women and they set Holt up with Jane, a girl from the Waterman Cable office.

Jeff sets out to fix his relationship with Britta after things get awkward with a drunken phone call. Meanwhile, Annie and Shirley make plans to humiliate Senor Chang in order to defend Troy and Pierce's dignity.

Jeff and Troy take on the chicken finger shortage that has a gripped Greendale Community College. Witnessing this show of activism by her fellow students causes Britta to struggle with the unsatisfactory number of causes she currently supports.

Raylan defies his fellow marshals in order to look into an attempt on his and Winona's lives, a move that brings him back into contact with her ex-husband Gary and Dixie Mafia lieutenant Wyn Duffy (Jere Burns). Raylan discovers that Gary has ordered the hit and figures out that Gary will be killed by Duffy once the hit is carried out. Raylan then saves Gary and tells him to leave Harlan and never return. Boyd enlists Arlo in a move against Dickie's drug dealing business and hijacks a deal. When Dickie comes to Arlo's house in the middle of the night, he kills Helen.

On Halloween, Rube tells George that there is a reaper legend in which that the reapers can be seen as they are when alive and she's forced to wear a mask in order to avoid being recognized by someone she used to know. Meanwhile, there is serial killer loose who strikes every year on Halloween, and the reapers must work overtime to pick up all the souls of the victims. The busy workday cuts into George and Mason's trick-or-treating. Roxy dresses up as Cindarella, and Daisy dresses up as a cop. Mason steals candy from neighborhood kids, while George goes after the bad guy after suspecting the killer to be someone she remembered from her past who kills on every Halloween at the 59th minute of every hour. Back at home, Joy must cajole Reggie into the Halloween spirit following a session with a psychologist. Joy and Reggie then pay a late night visit to George's grave... and so does George.

Fed up with his go-nowhere job, Fry joins the police force.

Jack must appear before Congress to discuss NBC's merger with KableTown. He hopes that he will charm celebrity members, but one Congresswoman demands more diversity in its programming lineup. Jack quickly enlists Tracy to come up with some new development ideas. Meanwhile, Liz is fed up with the criticism her writing staff gives her, and finally Jenna helps Kenneth reapply in the competitive page program.

Peter and the guys seek inspiration for a horror movie idea, but accidentally murder a man who they think is keeping them hostage and they attempt to blame the murder on someone else. Meanwhile, Stewie seeks to destroy Brian's new glasses when they seem to make Brian more pretentious than usual.

Liz Lemon is head writer for The Girlie Show, a live comedy show filmed in New York City's 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Things start to get complicated when her new boss, Jack Donaghy, insists that wild movie star Tracy Jordan join the cast.

Harry Korn quits being a patent lawyer to be a defense attorney for a kid, Malcolm Davies, with a 3rd drug charge who lands on her after trying to commit suicide; Harry's aid Jenna Backstrom also runs a shoe store as a side business for them. Adam Brash, an up-an-coming trial lawyer, joins Harry's firm after running her over with his car and defends a street kid - Damian Winslow, who protects the neighborhood - who shot a man trying to rob a drycleaner.

When the Griffins are selected to have their television viewing habits monitored, Peter attempts to take over television airwaves.

Ross has trouble flirting with the pizza delivery girl. Joey invites his grandmother over to watch his role on Law and Order - but his part's been cut. Monica asks Phoebe for a pair of earrings that she lent her but Phoebe has lent them to Rachel who loses one.

Red, coming down from her drug high, is nursed by Nicky, who thinks her warnings about Piscatella showing up are hallucinations. Piscatella, in full riot gear, attacks Blanca in a utility room, where she had gone to set a boobytrap in case he showed up anyway. Inmates begin disappearing one by one, including Nicky and Boo, but nobody believes Red. Gloria begs Caputo (locked in a Porta-Potty) to let her out on furlough to see her son, but Caputo says he can't help her until she lets the hostages go. After Boo disappears, Linda desperately seeks out Caputo, who was let out to back up the inmates' claim of slave labor to Figueroa. Another inmate, who had turned Linda's high heels into shivs after Piper and Alex first found her, recognizes her as a hostage, but Linda runs away with one of the shoe shivs. Lorna, hurt by Nicky's comments that her pregnancy is all in her head, convinces Suzanne to stop taking her psych medicine. Red finds Frieda's map to the "bunker" in her cooking book and discovers Piscatella prisoners on her way there by accident. While trying to free them Piscatella arrives. Flashback: In the late 1970s, Red is a young woman in the Soviet Union working a menial factory job. Her rebellious friend Nadezhda introduces her to the world of underground discos and black-market Levi's, but Nadezhda soon vanishes. Red's ex-boyfriend, Dmitri (whom she had dumped for being too dull), proposes they lie about being Jewish in order to escape to the United States, as Jews were being allowed to immigrate to countries other than Israel.

Red and Blanca send text messages from Humphries' phone to Piscatella, claiming the inmates are not armed and encouraging him to break into the prison via a window at night. He takes the information to the CERT, who blow him off. Aleida does a live TV interview with Meredith Vieira and Judy King, who breaks the news about Humphries being shot. She doesn't remember the shooter's name but describes Daya, leaving Aleida in shock. The news reaches Piscatella, who is mocked by the CERT members. Figueroa returns to the prison, this time as a negotiator for MCC. She claims they can't afford to meet the inmates' demands, but Taystee - who has done her research via the Internet and Caputo's files - shuts her down. Once she receives a phone call about Humphries, however, she says amnesty for everybody is off the table. After a discussion with Piper and others, Taystee agrees to hand over Daya, who first calls Pornstache's mother to ask her to adopt her daughter out of foster care and asks her to give her daughter some space due to Aleida's control she received when she was younger. Gloria's son is in the ICU after being severely beaten. Piscatella, after texting "Humphries" that he was going to stand down, enters the prison after dark instead. Flashback: A 14-year-old Daya (played by Dasany Kristal Gonzalez, actress Dascha Polanco's own daughter) pursues a boy based on her mother's insistence, despite her best friend's feelings for him. Daya ends up rejected by the boy and dumped by her friend.

Liz looks for a new best friend after discovering that Jenna has traded their friendship for fame. Jack decides to end the page program in order to impress Hank Hooper (Ken Howard).

As their 20th wedding anniversary approaches, Frankie begins to think that Mike may be tiring of her company and is purposely trying to avoid her. Meanwhile, Sue frantically tries to coax Axl and Brick into helping her set up an anniversary party for their parents, and Brick falls into a non-responsive state when Axl tells him the ending of the final book in a series that Brick has been reading for years.

Doug and Tillerman take Andy to the Hamptons to find new clients for Vehement to fleece. Andy poses as Bill Sussman (see 3x05), a wealthy man who made lots of money with Vehement. Nancy tags along to sell her drugs. Nancy rebrands her product as "Une Mere que j'aimerais baiser" (French for MILF), an overpriced, ultra-exclusive marijuana strain. After Doug and Tillerman discover that Clive or Bernard Madoff have already fleeced everyone at the party, Nancy offers to cut them into her action. Knowing the raid of Pouncy House is imminent, Nancy rejects merging with them. This infuriates Silas. He doesn't want to be Nancy's employee with Nancy making the decisions. Emma offers Silas a job, but he turns her down. Denny and Emma are arrested during the raid on Pouncy House. Det. Ouellette tells Shane, "When the hammer comes down -- and it always does -- you want to be on my side." Shane laughs him off behind his back. When Shane tells Silas that Nancy made the deal that leads to Emma's arrest, Silas takes a copy of the Botwin's sales database to start his own syndicate. Silas tells Nancy, "Consider me the competition. Everything is up for grabs."

Jimmy and Sabrina both have their bachelor and bachelorette parties, and Jimmy's is filmed resulting in a 'Jackass' type of setting.

Shauna goes into damage-control mode when Vince must pass a drug test after being caught in a compromising position; Ari escorts an old flame to Bobby Flay's restaurant to get back at his wife following a rancorous session of couples therapy.
