The Muppet Show

Sesame Street is an American educational children's television series for young children, though focusing more exclusively on preschoolers in its later years, and is a pioneer of the contemporary educational television standard, combining both education and entertainment. Sesame Street is well known for its Muppet characters created by Jim Henson. Sesame Street is produced in the United States by the non-profit organization Sesame Workshop, formerly known as the Children's Television Workshop (CTW), founded by Joan Ganz Cooney and Ralph Rogers. It premiered on November 10, 1969, on the National Educational Television (NET) network, and the following year it was moved to NET's replacement, the Public Broadcasting Service. As a result of its positive influence, Sesame Street is one of the most highly regarded educational shows for children in the world. No other television series has matched its level of international recognition and success. The original series has been televised in 120 countries, and more than 30 international versions have been produced, not including dubbed versions. The series has received 109 Emmy Awards, more than any other television series. An estimated 77 million Americans have watched the series as children; millions more have watched around the world, as have their parents.

It features dozens of kids dancing to songs with movement themes, and was hosted by two puppet characters named Waffle (a monkey) and Edi (a zebra), as well as a giant dancing elephant named Bozark. The show featured many innovations in puppet design and production from the Jim Henson Company. It aired on TLC for several years, and ran on Discovery Kids until the channel was replaced by The Hub. Several shows are also available on DVD. "Animal Jam" was created by John Derevlany, who also wrote most of the episodes.

In each episode, Bear (who originally appeared in Bear in the Big Blue House), visited a different house and followed one child's morning ritual, finishing with breakfast. Short episodes of Charlie and Lola, Rolie Polie Olie, Shanna's Show or Shane's Kindergarten Countdown, Captain Carlos, This is Daniel Cook, Dan Zanes House Party and The Book of Pooh appeared between the main segments.

Fraggles, tiny humanoid creatures about 18 inches tall, come in a wide variety of colors and have tails that bear a tuft of fur on the end. They live in a system of caves called Fraggle Rock that are filled with all manner of creatures and features, and which seem to connect to at least two different worlds that exist in different dimensions of time and space. Fraggles live a very carefree life, spending most of their time playing, exploring, and loving life. They live primarily on a diet of radishes and "doozer sticks" and are known to occasionally eat other vegetables. Fraggles have the ability to "share dreams"; if they touch their heads together before falling asleep, one can enter the dream of the other Fraggle. More than one Fraggle at a time can enter a single Fraggle's dream, provided all the participants' heads are touching. Deep in the caves of Fraggle Rock lives another group of Fraggles that are known to other Fraggles as Enemy Fraggles. Enemy Fraggles live in a place they call Fraggle Cave. The Enemy Fraggles are dull and seem to be a lot like Doozers in a way because they both dislike Fraggles and both do not do a lot of fun stuff. The series focused on one group of Fraggles in particular: Gobo, Mokey, Red, Wembley, and Boober. They form a tight-knit group of friends, and each has a distinctive personality type.

The animated series followed the same formula as the HBO original live-action series, including the same theme song. Many episodes consisted of two 15-minute stories; however, a few presented a single full 30-minute plot. The animated version carried on the tradition of original songs, with at least one tune per episode.

The Muppet Babies live in a large nursery watched over by Nanny, the only human character in the show. The babies have active imaginations, and often embark on adventures into imaginary worlds and perilous situations from which they are eventually returned to reality by some external event, such as Nanny coming to see what the noise was. They are constantly finding ways to entertain themselves in creative ways, and learning to work together to solve problems and survive their wild imagined adventures. Each episode included a single storyline. Usually the babies were confronted with a child-like problem, such as fear of the dentist, or a question, such as 'where do muffins come from?' Other times, they were simply finding ways to amuse themselves with old toys or video tape equipment. The babies would then enter into their imaginations, transforming their toys into everything from time machines to pirate ships. Nearly every episode contained one song, and occasionally more than one.

The Hoobs is a BAFTA-winning[1] children's television programme created and produced by The Jim Henson Company. It stars five creatures called Hoobs (Hubba Hubba, Iver, Groove, Tula, and Roma) from the fictional Hoobland, and their interactions with Earth and the human race. In each episode they try to find the answer to a question to be put in the great Hoobopaedia created by Hubba Hubba, back in Hoobland, in hopes of learning all there is to know. Hubba Hubba remains in Hoobland; Iver, Groove, and Tula live in the Hoobmobile; and Roma travels to all parts of the world. The five creatures are puppets, but the show also includes some animated sequences as well as live motion of human children who explain concepts to the Hoobs.

Meet the Feebles (sometimes mistakenly referred to as The Feebles) is a 1989 black comedy film directed by Peter Jackson. It features Jim Henson-esque puppets in a perverse comic satire. Like Henson's Muppets, the Feebles are animal-figured puppets (though some were people in suits) assembled together as members of a theatre troupe. However, whereas Henson's Muppets characterise the positivity, naive folly, and innocence in humanity, the Feebles present negativity, vice, and other misanthropic characteristics. The movie has become a cult classic, and has enjoyed great popularity since Jackson's success with the Lord of the Rings films. During his acceptance speech at the 2004 Academy Awards, Jackson mentioned the film, noting that it had been "wisely overlooked by the Academy."

"This Is SportsCenter - Henrik Lundqvist" This commercial shows SportsCenter anchor, Robert Flores talking to the staff about how their cafeteria just hired a new chef. Unfortunately, no one can understand him except for Swedish NHL hockey player, Henrik Lundqvist. We see Lundqvist at the cafeteria in front of another man as the Swedish Chef from The Muppets tells them about the daily specials. The guy has to ask Henrik what the Chef said, so he "translates" letting the man know that the day's specials are pickled herring and blodkorv (blood sausage). When the next woman in line asks for a hamburger, the Swedish Chef gets very angry. We've recently hired a world-renowned chef for the cafeteria, but the only person who seems to understand him is Henrik Lundqvist. (Swedish Chef speaking in his normal voice) Henrik, what'd he say? He sees a broken down bus on the side of the road and stops to help. It turns out vehicle was the tour bus for Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, and before he can object, his SUV is full of Muppets. They take over his car and drive off. The crash through the doors of a gym where senior citizens are having a bingo game and play a concert. After this, they stop at a vineyard and stomp on some grapes as well as participate in some sort of Vegas Showgirls parade. At the end, Terry Crews is singing while sticking out of the sunroof in the Highlander while it is parked in his driveway. Jacqueline's husband Julian (Mark Harelik) finally makes it home and is throwing a surprise cocktail party, which Jacqueline believes she can use to prove his infidelity. In the episode, Jan, now living with Michael, forces costly changes in Michael's life. This causes Michael to worry about his financial situation. To remedy the problem, Michael leaves work early for a late night job as a telemarketer until 1 a.m. When Ryan finds out, he forces Michael to quit, who then fears that there is no way in which he can support Jan and himself. He hops a train to run away, but Jan meets him and tells him that they can work together to find a way to live. Meanwhile, Dwight pines over Angela, who is later asked out by Andy. After a pep-talk by Jim, Dwight returns as his normal annoying self, to Jim's pleasure. Pam and Jim visit Dwight's family farm, which he has fashioned into a bed and breakfast.

The day gets off to a rocky start when rumors from the Wall Street Journal point to financial troubles for Dunder Mifflin. In an attempt to get the worried staff under control, Michael and Jim call the monthly staff meeting to provide what few assurances and optimistic viewpoints they can on the steadily worsening news. In a moment of quick thinking, Michael pulls out a party game, Belles, Bourbon, and Bullets, and forces the rest of the staff to play along. Jim tries to stop him, citing that today is one of the few days they cannot afford to play around, but is reminded that he owes Michael 'one' after he stopped another idea called "Tube City".
