When Chris starts showing signs of aggression, Peter and Lois end up discovering that he is a talented baseball pitcher. Peter and the guys immediately start betting on the games as they believe he will be a failure, but his success leads Peter to ask him to throw the championship game. Meanwhile, Brian and Stewie reunite with Frank Sinatra, Jr. to open an Italian restaurant.

Catherine interviews a prostitute who has survived being attacked by Sean Balmforth, who is subsequently arrested and charged with the serial killings, whilst vulnerable young farmer Daryl Garrs is also taken in for hitting out at the thugs who stole his mother's sheep. Catherine is shocked when, on grandson Ryan's birthday, he receives a lavish present, purportedly from his father Royce, which allows Drummond to suggest to the boy that Royce is anxious for forgiveness. In fact, Royce wants a more direct revenge. As John's wife throws him out, Neil tells Clare that he once had an affair with Vicky Fleming and believes her murder is different from the others.

McManus' attempts to help Omar White seem helpless but insists that he will not give up on him. Beecher talks with the parents of Kathy Rockwell in now understanding that he knows how they feel and why he's being paroled. Hughes accepts his fate and asks to be executed for murdering Basil but Glynn refuses. Said continues to struggle with his demons but cannot find any comfort in it due to him assaulting Robson. Schillinger learns that his daughter-in-law, Carrie, was a prostitute and his granddaughter may not be his granddaughter at all. The COs bring give McManus and Brass an advantage in the next basketball game and a scout believes Brass has what it takes to play pro ball, but Morales cuts Brass dreams out. Supreme Allah and Tug Daniels work together to take over the drug trade but Daniels is tried in Redding's court and the result is at Daniels' own life. Devlin decides to suspend the death sentence of William Giles and suspends the death penalty until it is not deemed cruel and unusual. Cloutier exiles Kirk for using physical force on those who don't wish to convert. O'Reilly finally gets the upper on Howell and works with Connelly on what he thinks is the good for Ireland.

In trying to get back at Supreme Allah and save Redding, Hill concocts a plan to rid Oz of Supreme Allah. Morales survives a hit on him. Cloutier is forced to resign as minister, and loses his support with his followers, only to try and gain their respect, he offers to help them in their work but ends up bricked behind a wall. Hughes tries to rally the inmates in Solitary to rise up but an attempt to kill Glynn costs Hughes his own life. McManus and Murphy lose the final game to Vayhue and Busmalis and after failing to help White, he starts to wonder if he and Glynn are both capable of running Oz. Schillinger learns of Beecher's parole and vows to stop him from going free, while Beecher dreams of what it would feel like to be free; with his parole denied and Schillinger happy about interacting some more, Said feels the spirit of Adebisi take down Schillinger and Robson. Connelly's plan of blowing up Em City is almost in effect until O'Reilly has a change of heart, the bomb turns out to be a dud, but Oz is still left with a big bang.

After scoring a first class airplane seat next to actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Turtle later makes a claim about onboard sex that the guys don't buy. Ari learns that another Vince-hater will get the job as the studio head of Warner Bros. if he doesn't take it, so Ari tries to prevent that while preserving his current job. Josh Weinstein uses Ari's distraction to court Vince with filmmaker Frank Darabont.

Now that Kelly has left, Deacon is worried about providing a nice Thanksgiving holiday for his kids. Doug decides to "loan" Carrie to Deacon for a couple of nights in order to help him prepare for his big Thanksgiving dinner. Deacon is gracious at first, but then he realizes that Carrie is not the world's greatest cook, and she is beginning to get on his nerves, so he begs Doug to take her back. Deacon recruits Holly to take over the cooking and Thanksgiving preparations, and things only get worse when Carrie finds out about his little secret.

As Turtle begins his first day at college, Eric manages to fix things with Ashley, who then finds out that he hasn't been forthcoming. Jamie-Lynn films her appearance on Five Towns with Drama, who suspects that his boss has other things in mind for her. Ari gets out of the doghouse at home, only to be surprised by an agency visit from Andrew's wife, and Ari is ready to get rid of the problem entirely.

Vince asks Billy Walsh to review his miner-movie idea as a vehicle for Drama. Meanwhile, Ari forces Lloyd to retrace his steps when he hears disturbing news about Mrs. Ari; Drama's "Johnny's Bananas" costar Andrew Dice Clay needs representation; and Eric plays phone tag with Sloan.

Nearly broke, the guys return to Queens. But thanks to a tip from Vince and Drama's mom, Rita Chase, Eric tries to get filmmaker Gus Van Sant to cast Vince in a role. Van Sant won't let Vince audition, leading to a confrontation between Vince and Eric; Vince fires him, and Eric returns to L.A. Later, Vince reconnects with his high-school sweetheart and Drama invests in a neighborhood bar. Turtle continues to try to maintain his relationship with Jamie-Lynn Sigler as a secret, despite the guys' curiosity. Eric's efforts turn out not to be in vain, as Van Sant forwarded Vince's reel to filmmaker Martin Scorsese, who calls Vince to say he wants Vince in the lead role of his remake of The Great Gatsby, which will film in New York City. Vince flies back to L.A. to reconcile with Eric in person.

Following a traumatic event, Gemma finds herself unable to tell either Clay or Jax about it. Meanwhile, a rival porn producer moves to put Luanne out of business; and Clay takes exception to Jax's hasty decision making.

Leslie attempts to delay completion of Indiana's smallest park in order to spend more time with Ben before he transfers out of the parks department. Andy goes back to college with Ron and April's support, and Chris tasks Tom and Jerry with designing a new logo.

Krusty the Clown is in a rut when his show gets cancelled and his talent agency dumps him, so the Simpsons introduce him to seasoned agent Annie (voiced by Joan Rivers), who turns out to be Krusty's first agent from many years ago.

Piper is awakened in solitary and, without being given any information, is forced to board a bus and a plane to whereabouts unknown. After she lands, and finally realizing she is in Chicago, Piper assumes she has been transferred for killing Doggett and attempts to adjust to her new surroundings. Following an an altercation with other inmates, and later seeing and speaking with Vause, Piper discovers she is in Chicago to testify in the trial of Vause's drug boss, Kubra Balik, and the stay is temporary. Vause suggests to Piper they lie in court about knowing Kubra, fearing he will exact revenge if they tell the truth. However, Piper wishes to tell the truth. Several flashbacks from Piper's childhood reveal her complicated past. Piper meets with her lawyer, who strongly advises her to tell the truth. In the van on the way to the trial, Vause pushes one last time for Piper to lie about knowing Kubra, saying she (Vause) will be screwed over if they don't tell the same story. Piper gives in and perjures herself at the trial. Afterwards, her lawyer washes his hands of her. Vause then informs Piper that although she planned to lie, she told the truth, which complicates matters for Piper, who now faces perjury charges and additional time. Piper shouts angrily at Vause, who is being led out of prison, ostensibly to be released.

The NFL commercial features a ton of new and old pop culture TV references. The are saying everyone is part of the NFL family of fans. It begins with a car pulling up outside of the Brady Bunch house with a big football player in the front yard. We then see characters from Happy Days with a Green Bay Packers helmet serving bowl and the Fonze wearing a jersy, some girls from 90210 in Raiders gear, and Jerry and Kramer from Seinfeld in Giants and Bills clothes. We then see Andy and Dwight from The Office in front of a Super Bowl Party Planning Committee sign with everyone in Steelers gear, The Sopranos in Jets outfits, Jerry from Seinfeld in a Giants sweatshirt and Newman in a Cowboys costume, Norm from Cheers in a Patriots jersey, ???, the Golden Girls putting out food for a football party, and Joey and Jesse from Full House in 49ers stuff.
