Doug returns to Agrestic for his passport, and discovers that his ex-wife Dana has remarried and his children have forgotten him. Andy fakes Hooman's death to trick Mahmud into supplying the passports, but the ruse is unsuccessful and Andy must barter with Mahmud's wife for the passports. A paternity test proves that Lars is Silas's real father, and he decides to stay behind instead of going to Copenhagen. Nancy is interviewed by Vaughan about her life, in return for the money needed to get the family out of the country. She returns the next morning to discover his hotel room has been ransacked, and she is ambushed by Guillermo Garcia Gomez and Esteban, who have somehow tracked her down.

In a behind the scenes look at the show, the cast members start to tell about their daily work lives, but soon everything still comes back to Peter being difficult. Unaware that he is being fired until a table read reveals that he is bing killed off and replaced by David Spade as "Uncle Ricky," Peter takes his case to the producers who give him a second chance, only to have him be an ass once again and is kicked off the show for good.

Marty uses the equity injection to acquire multiple competitors; Marty ignores Denna's request to not help a regional burger franchise that competes with a larger business deal of hers; revelation of Roscoe's handbag business being counterfeits causes trouble with his school friends; Clyde convinces Kelsey that they should be exclusive, dropping Doug from their oddly open three person relationship.

After being criticized for her working habits by her co-workers, Liz decides to be more lenient with her staff and work overtime herself. Meanwhile, Jack brings Tracy to a major golf event to get closer to Don Geiss, the CEO of GE, but his plan backfires when Tracy decides to drop "truth bombs".

After Maria gets a job playing a maid in the TV series "White Trash," she begins to question the underlying racism of the show when she has to play the part as a Russian stereotype and two black comedians are hired to play garbage men. In flashbacks, Maria gets a commercial playing a manic shopper at a big box store - something the actress really did for Target.

Aaron Green, an intern at a major record company, has landed the job of a lifetime. His only task is to accompany Aldous Snow, an out-of-control rock star, from London to Los Angeles for a big comeback show scheduled to be held at the Greek Theater. The job turns out to be more complicated than Aaron anticipates.
