Melrose Place

The show followed the lives of a group of teenagers living in the upscale, star-studded community of Beverly Hills, California and attending the fictitious West Beverly Hills High School and, subsequently, the fictitious California University. The original premise of the show was based on the adjustment and culture shock that twins Brandon and Brenda Walsh experienced when they and their parents, Jim and Cindy moved from Wayzata, Minnesota to Beverly Hills. In addition to chronicling the friendships and romantic relationships of a group of close-knit teenagers, the show also addressed topical issues including date rape, alcoholism, domestic violence, gay rights, drug abuse, teenage suicide, AIDS, and teenage pregnancy.

Ari goes to war with Lloyd when Drama wants out of his contract on Five Towns to get a part on the new Melrose 2009 series, but regardless of the outcome, Drama will have to decide who will be his real agent. Ashley asks Eric to read his emails so they can have an open and honest relationship, but after talking with Brittany, his new assistant, it becomes clear to Eric that Ashley has major trust issues. Turtle is caught in a pseudo love triangle with Jamie-Lynn and a UCLA co-ed.

Carrie becomes suspicious when Doug's 10th Anniversary at IPS, a date that used to coincide with the beginning of their relationship, arrives three months later than it should. Doug's sordid tale of how he faked employment in order to win her over transports them back to 1995, a time when Doug was still lazy, but Carrie was too blinded by love and mascara to notice.

Basking in the adulation from his latest movie premiere, Hollywood "It" actor Vince Chase joins childhood pals Eric, Drama, and Turtle to debate the pros and cons of attending their tenth high-school reunion back east. Ari enthusiastically pitches the screenplay for "Matterhorn" to Vince and Eric who pass on the offer.

On the set of Smokejumpers, Vince winds up getting his lines stolen by co-star Jason Patric, and not only does the director allow it, but Vince is too intimidated by Patric to do anything about it. Ari has lunch with Andrew Klein, an old friend and mentor who needs his help.

Elaine tries to convert a gay man. George discovers that the woman Kramer has set him up with is bald. Kramer begins standing in police lineups for $50 a lineup. Jerry begins to date a cop, but she wants him to take a lie detector test about Melrose Place.

A behind-the-scenes documentary about the filming of Medellin on location in Bogota, Colombia. On the set, Eric and Billy clash over keeping the film on schedule and Billy develops an infatuation with a beautiful Colombian actress that becomes increasingly disruptive to the production. Meanwhile, Drama tries to angle for a part in the film, and Ari provides color commentary from his LA office. This episode is unique in that it is the only one in the series to this point that plays an introductory clip before the opening credits.

George Simmons is a very successful yet self-involved stand-up comedian who learns that he has an inoperable blood disorder and is given less than a year to live. Ira Wright is a struggling up-and-coming stand-up comedian who works at a deli and has yet to figure out his onstage persona. One thing these different men have in common is that neither of them has any close friends. One night, George takes notice of Ira when they perform at the same club and he hires him to be his semi-personal assistant and opening act at his performances. George and Ira form a close bond as George teaches Ira how to win the crowd and Ira helps the dying George find closure in his legacy.

The show revolved around a Los Angeles modeling agency, Models Inc., run by Hillary Michaels, the mother of Amanda Woodward (Heather Locklear's character from Melrose Place). Hillary Michaels appeared briefly on Melrose Place in order to set up the spin-off that became Models Inc.
