Shelby comes home, and Dylan distracts him to give Norman time to escape. Norma tells Norman he imagines things that don't happen. Bradley and Norman end up sleeping together and when Norma finds out, she becomes upset. Dylan confronts her, stating he knows what she has done, which gives him the right to take Norman to stay with him. The police then arrest Norma for the murder of Keith Summers.

Michael and his team assist a naive man who, looking to provide for his mother, borrowed money from a loan shark and then lost every cent in what was in reality a major con. With the loan shark coming after the guy hard, and the con man proving to be much more clever than expected, the team decides to run a con of their own, playing on his greed. While working to get the money back for their client, and convince the loan shark to leave him alone, Michael is pestered by his mother about his relationship with Fiona even as he continues his search for information on Carla. After blackmailing a Pakistani spy stationed at the local consulate, Michael is gifted the file on her work as an operative in Kurdistan.

Philip and Elizabeth are separately abducted and questioned about being KGB spies in America. Neither admit to it, even if evidence is presented otherwise. Their captors are revealed to be KGB agents trying to ferret out the mole, as the Jennings were first to discover the encryptions which were immediately changed by the FBI. The Jennings manage to turn the tables on their captors; Elizabeth mercilessly beats Claudia to send a message to whoever authorized their abduction. Philip seethes at Elizabeth for what he considers a betrayal after she tells him that she had earlier told their handlers that he "liked the U.S. too much" which he feels has led to them being under suspicion. Although fearing being caught, Nina cleverly frames Vasili, a Soviet embassy official, with some help from Stan. Meanwhile, not knowing where their parents are, Paige and Henry hitchhike home from the mall. Nick (Michael Oberholtzer), the man who picks them up, becomes suggestive towards them, leading them to escape after he stops along the way. The two kids promise to keep the situation a secret between them.

Carroll reveals to Judy and Mandy his plans to leave their home at night as Judy expresses her resentment for Carroll murdering the reverend. She pulls a gun on Carroll but he had previously taken out all of the bullets. He attempts to choke her to death but stops when Mandy begs for him to. Carroll ties Judy up, setting up a crime scene implicating the reverend for when the police discover the home. Carroll looks for his knife, but Mandy finds it and proceeds to stab her mother to death. Carroll sets the home on fire before departing with Mandy. Meanwhile, Agent Mendez and other investigators find Emma's home and raid it, killing all of the followers inside but one, who is taken into custody. At the time, Emma was out meeting with Mark, as the two exchange information about their respective groups of Carroll followers. He brings her back to his room where she meets Luke, Gisele (Camille De Pazzis), and Carlos, though Luke soon-after stabs Carlos, killing him. Ryan continues to visit and talk to Lily against orders banning interaction between the two. He soon discovers her in a lie and with the help of Weston's subway video footage realizes that Gray is involved with the cult. Gray escapes and taunts Ryan over the phone. She meets up with Luke, who drives away after calling her "mother."
