"Crockett's Theme" is an instrumental song written for the hit NBC series Miami Vice. The surname Crockett refers to Don Johnson's character, James "Sonny" Crockett. The initial version of the theme first appeared in the episode Calderone's Return: Part 1 - The Hit List which aired on October 19, 1984. The song was composed by Jan Hammer.

One of the few theme songs (not to mention instrumental songs) to ever make it to the the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

New York City Detective Allen Gamble is a forensic accountant who is more interested in paperwork than fieldwork. Detective Terry Hoitz has been stuck working with Gamble since an embarrassing shooting. Walter White, a 50-year old chemistry teacher, secretly begins making crystal methamphetamine to support his family when he finds out that he has terminal lung cancer. He teams up with a former student, Jesse Pinkman, who is a meth dealer. Jesse is trying to sell the meth but the dealers snatch him and make him show them the lab. Walter knows they intend to kill him so he poisons them while showing them his recipe.

The episode focuses on Liz Lemon's escapade with her idol, Rosemary Howard; Tracy Jordan's family problems; and Jenna Maroney's attempt to replace Kenneth Parcell's burnt page jacket.

Gone Girl takes up the story of Nick and Amy Dunne's difficult marriage, which is floundering for several reasons. Nick, a former journalist of some seriousness, loses his job due to downsizing. In a somewhat desperate state of mind, he relocates himself and his wife from New York City to the small Midwestern town of North Carthage, Missouri, where Nick is from. There, he opens a bar, using the last of his wife's trust fund, and runs it along with his twin sister Margo. The bar provides a decent living for the three Dunnes, but the Dunne marriage becomes more and more dysfunctional. Amy loved her life in New York and hates what she considers the soulless "McMansion" which she and Nick are now renting.
