Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version, originally released in Japan as Pocket Monsters: Red & Green, are role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy. They are the first installments of the Pokémon series. They were first released in Japan in 1996 as Red and Green, with Blue being released later in the year as a special edition. They were later released as Red and Blue in North America, Europe and Australia over the following three years. Pokémon Yellow, a special edition version, was released roughly a year later. Red and Green have subsequently been remade for the Game Boy Advance as Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, released in 2004.

Pocket Monsters Blue was released in Japan as a mail order-only special edition to subscribers of CoroCoro Comic on October 15, 1996. It was later released to general retail on October 10, 1999. The game featured updated in-game artwork and new dialogue for Pokemon Red and Blue. Using Blastoise as its mascot, the code, script, and artwork for Blue was used for the international releases of Red and Green, which were renamed to Red and Blue. The Japanese Blue edition of the game features all but a handful of Pokemon available in Red and Green, making certain Pokemon exclusive to the original editions.

This was a Japan-only release for the Nintendo 64.

Pokemon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition, more commonly known as Pokemon Yellow Version, is a 1998 role-playing video game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy handheld video game console. It is an enhanced remake of Pokemon Red and Blue. Along with the release of Pokemon Yellow, a special edition yellow Pokemon-themed Game Boy Color was also released.

Pokémon Trading Card Game, originally released in Japan as Pokémon Card GB is a video game adaptation of the original tabletop trading card game of the same name, which in turn was based on the Pokémon role-playing video game series. Hey You, Pikachu! is a Nintendo 64 video game developed by Ambrella and published by Nintendo that is recommended for children aged 12 and under. It was first released in Japan on 12 December 1998, and in North America on 6 November 2000. The game features voice-recognition technology used to talk to Pikachu, the star of the game. It is one of only two games that utilizes the N64's Voice Recognition Unit (VRU), a piece of hardware that can comprehend and analyze the human voice. It is also the only game to use the VRU that was released in the United States. Similar technology has been subsequently built into the Nintendo DS and employed in Gamecube games such as Mario Party 6. The player can move around and pick up items, in addition to speaking with Pikachu and can describe everything.

Pokemon Snap is a first-person rail shooter and simulation video game co-developed by HAL Laboratory and Pax Softnica and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 video game console. It was first released in Japan on March 21, 1999, and was later released on June 30, 1999 in North America and September 15, 2000, in PAL regions. It is a spin-off game in the Pokemon series, being one of the first console-based games for it, and featuring many Pokemon rendered for the first time in real-time 3D. The game was re-released for the Wii's Virtual Console during December 2007 in Japan, North America, and PAL regions.

Pokemon Stadium is a strategy video game developed by Nintendo EAD with the assistance of Creatures and HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 video game console. It was released on April 30, 1999, in Japan, March 6, 2000, in North America, March 23, 2000, in Australia, and April 7, 2000, in Europe. Despite it being the first Stadium title in Western regions, the game is a sequel to the 1998 Nintendo 64 game Pokemon Stadium (??????????), which was only released in Japan. Gameplay is built around a 3D turn-based battling system featuring all 151 creatures from the Game Boy games Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow.

Pokemon Gold Version and Silver Version are the second installments of the Pokemon series of role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Color. They were first released in Japan in 1999, Australia and North America in 2000, and Europe in 2001. Pokemon Crystal, a special edition version, was released roughly a year later in each region. In 2009, Nintendo remade Gold and Silver for the Nintendo DS as Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. The games introduce 100 new species of Pokemon, and follow the progress of the central character, whose name the player may choose, in his quest to master Pokemon battling. Both games are independent of each other but feature largely the same plot and, while both can be played separately, it is necessary to trade between them and their backward compatible predecessors in order to fully complete the games' Pokedexes. The Johto Saga of the Pokemon anime is based on the new region introduced in the games.

Pokemon Puzzle League is a puzzle game for the Nintendo 64 console. It is based on Nintendo's Puzzle League puzzle games, but with Pokemon likenesses. It was only available in North America starting in 2000, and in Europe in 2001, making it the first Pokemon game produced for North America. It is so far the only Pokemon game to be based on the Pokemon anime, and to feature Ash Ketchum and any of the characters featured from the anime. The game was released on the Virtual Console on May 5, 2008, in the North America region, and on May 30, 2008, in the European region.

Pokemon Stadium 2 is a video game for the Nintendo 64. It features all 251 Pokemon from the first and second generations. It was released in North America as simply Pokemon Stadium 2, as it was the second Stadium game to be released there. In Japan, Pocket Monsters' Stadium Kin Gin was the third game of the Pokemon Stadium series. The Japanese edition also featured the capability to use the Pokemon Mobile System from Pokemon Crystal which was also released on the same day. This game featured support for all three original Game Boy Pokemon games (Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow) and the three Game Boy Color games (Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal). As in the previous Stadium games, Pikachu from Yellow was a hidden character if the game cartridge was connected. The majority of the game takes place inside the new location White City, where various facilities for battling, organizing, researching, and playing with Pokemon are located. This can be considered to be the Pokemon League for the second generation games. The sequel to the popular Pokemon Stadium features minigames, multiplayer, and league mode.

Pokémon Crystal Version, for the Game Boy Color, is the seventh game in the Pokémon video game series in Japan, and the sixth in North America and Europe. The game is an updated version of the previous two versions, Pokémon Gold and Silver, and was released in Japan on December 14, 2000. It was released in North America on July 29, 2001 and in Europe on November 2, 2001. Unlike its predecessors, it was developed specifically for the Game Boy Color, and is thus not compatible with the original Game Boy, its variants, and the Super Game Boy.

Pokemon Box: Ruby and Sapphire, or simply Pokemon Box, is a spin-off Pokemon game for the Nintendo GameCube console, bundled with a Nintendo GameCube - Game Boy Advance link cable and a Memory Card 59. It was released in Japan on May 30, 2003 and in North America on July 11, 2004, but only through the New York Pokemon Center and its online store. It is no longer available in either location. The game was released in some parts of Europe as Pokemon Memory Magic due to translation problems, and Europeans only could get the game by using points from Nintendo of Europe's loyalty program, or by buying the Pokemon Colosseum Mega Pack. The game is essentially a storage system for the Game Boy Advance Pokemon games that allows players to trade and store Pokemon that they have caught in Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, and LeafGreen onto a GameCube memory card. Players can then organize and interact with their Pokemon on the GameCube, such as allowing them to breed. Unique Pokemon can also be acquired. Another feature allows the games to be played on the television via the GameCube Game Boy Advance Cable. Options such as taking screenshots of the game are available in this mode. Another addition is the "Showcase", where players can create and display game pieces of Pokemon.

Pokemon Channel is a 2003 video game in the Pokemon series for the GameCube, developed by Ambrella and published by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. The player's goal is to help Professor Oak refine and promote his TV network through watching broadcasts with a Pikachu. The game contains elements of the adventure, digital pet, and simulation genres. The player can explore full 3D environments, have Pikachu converse with other Pokemon, and collect various items.

Pokemon Colosseum is a role-playing video game developed by Genius Sonority and published by Nintendo as part of the Pokemon series. It was released exclusively for the Nintendo GameCube on November 21, 2003, in Japan; March 22, 2004, in North America; and May 14, 2004, in Europe. Unlike previous titles, the game does not feature random encounters with Pokemon; instead, the player can steal ("snag") the Pokemon of other Pokemon Trainers. The game also features several battle modes for single-player and multiplayer gameplay.

Pokemon FireRed Version and LeafGreen Version are enhanced remakes of the original Pokemon Red and Blue video games, which were released in 1996. Pokemon Dash is a racing video game developed by Ambrella for the Nintendo DS. It was a launch title in Japan and Europe. Dash was released in Japan on December 2, 2004; Europe on March 11, 2005; North America on March 13, 2005; and Australia April 7, 2005. It was the first Pokemon game to be released for Nintendo DS. The player uses a stylus to control a Pikachu and race through checkpoints. After players have passed each of the number of checkpoints in order, the course is completed. Dash has multiplayer support, and can connect with 6 different devices.

Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness is the second role-playing video game from Nintendo's Pokemon franchise for the Nintendo GameCube. It is the successor of the GameCube game Pokemon Colosseum. The game takes place in Orre, the setting of Pokemon Colosseum?'?s adventure mode. All of the Game Boy Advance Pokemon games can connect to this game through trading and Battle Mode.

Pokemon Trozei!, released as Pokemon Link! in Europe, is a Pokemon-themed puzzle video game for the Nintendo DS. It was released in Japan on October 20, 2005, in North America on March 6, 2006, in Australia on April 28, 2006, and in Europe on May 5, 2006.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team are a matched pair of Pokemon games for the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance, respectively. These two games were developed by Chunsoft and published by Nintendo. It was the last Pokemon-themed video game to be released on the Game Boy Advance. It is an enhanced version of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl in the same vein as Pokemon Yellow, Crystal, and Emerald, which were remakes of Red and Blue, Gold and Silver, and Ruby and Sapphire, respectively. It was released on September 13, 2008, in Japan; March 22, 2009, in North America; May 14, 2009, in Australia and May 22, 2009, in Europe. The developers made Platinum with the intent of making it a stronger version of Diamond and Pearl, which they described as the "ultimate" Pokemon titles.

It is the sequel to PokePark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure. In PokePark 2, Pikachu has journeyed to a new Pokepark with his best friend Piplup. They are introduced to the Wish Park, but later find out that it is impossible to escape the Wish Park. Reshiram and Zekrom inform Pikachu of events to come, and tells Pikachu he can save the Pokepark.

Pokemon Conquest, known in Japan as Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition, is a role-playing strategy video game developed by Tecmo Koei and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. The game is a crossover between the Pokemon and Nobunaga's Ambition video game series. The game was released in Japan on March 17, 2012, in North America on June 18, 2012 and in Europe on July 27, 2012.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are two 2014 role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. They are part of the sixth generation of the Pokemon series, serving as enhanced remakes of the 2002 Game Boy Advance titles Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Pokken Tournament, known as Pokemon Tekken in Germany, is an arcade fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon is a roguelike video game in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by The Pokemon Company for the Nintendo 3DS handheld game console. Like its predecessors, players control a human who has awoken as a Pokemon in a world filled entirely by the series' eponymous creatures, and must travel through random-generated dungeons completing missions and battling enemies to unravel the story. The game was released in Japan on September 17, 2015, and in North America on November 20, 2015; it will be released in Europe and Australia in February 2016.

Pokemon Picross is a freemium puzzle video game featuring Pokemon characters developed by Jupiter Corporation and published by The Pokemon Company. The title is part of the "Picross" nonogram video game series that use number-based grid puzzles to reveal pictures. It was released worldwide as a download title on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in December 2015.

Pokemon GO is a 2016 augmented reality game for mobile phones developed by Niantic for iOS and Android devices. The game uses the Pokemon Go Plus, a small wearable device developed by Nintendo, which uses a Bluetooth connection to notify users when a Pokemon is nearby with a LED and a light rumble. The game allows players to capture, battle, train and trade virtual Pokemon who appear throughout the real world. The game is be free-to-play, although it will support in-app purchases. The idea for the game was conceived in 2013 by Satoru Iwata of Nintendo and Tsunekazu Ishihara of The Pokemon Company. In 2015, Ishihara dedicated his speech at the game's announcement on September 10 to Iwata, who died two months earlier. Ishihara and his wife had played Ingress. Different Pokemon will live in different areas of the world - for example, water type Pokemon will live near water. There will be events held where players can trade Pokemon to build up their collection. A wristband device called the "Pokemon Go Plus" will ship with the game, to allow a more "heads-up" gaming experience than Ingress, where the player can be alerted to a nearby pokemon by the Go Plus vibrating, press the button in a coded sequence to capture it and check the app later to find out what they've captured. The decision to create the Go Plus rather than create a smart watch app was to increase uptake among players for whom a smart watch is prohibitively expensive.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. They are the first installments in the seventh generation of role-playing games. First announced in February 2016 by Tsunekazu Ishihara through a special Nintendo Direct, both Sun and Moon and are set to be released worldwide in November 2016, commemorating the franchise's 20th anniversary.
