Pokemon is a series of video games developed by Game Freak and Creatures Inc. and published by Nintendo as part of the Pokemon media franchise. First released in 1996 in Japan for the Game Boy, the main series of role-playing video games (RPG) has continued on each generation of Nintendo's handhelds. Games are commonly released in pairs-each with slight variations-and then an enhanced remake of the games is released a few years from the original release. While the main series consists of role-playing games, spinoffs encompass other genres such as action role-playing, puzzle, and digital pet games. It is the second best-selling video game franchise worldwide, next to Nintendo's own Mario franchise.

Kid Icarus (known in Japan as Hikari Shinwa is a franchise of fantasy video games by Nintendo. The games are set in a fantasy world, based on classical antiquity and Greek mythology, called "Angel Land". The gameplay consists of a mixture of action, adventure, and platform elements; however The Kid Icarus franchise is known as a cult classic and sibling series to the Metroid franchise.

MLB: The Show is a Major League Baseball video game series produced by SCE San Diego Studio, a development team that is part of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios. The series debuted in 2006 with MLB 06: The Show for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. There has been a new release in the series every year since 2006, and since MLB 07: The Show in 2007, every game released has also been available for the PlayStation 3. MLB 12: The Show, which was released in March 2012, it also the first game in the series to not be available for the PS2 or PSP and the first game in the series to available for the PlayStation Vita, Sony's new handheld. The series is the successor to 989 Sports' MLB series.

Puzzle League is a series of video games published by Nintendo for its various video game consoles. The series began with Panel de Pon in Japan and Tetris Attack in North America, and has since been adapted to many other consoles. The core gameplay of each version is the same in each game, but branding, presentation details and console-specific features have varied.

Kingdom Hearts is a series of action role-playing games developed and published by Square Enix (originally by Square). It is a collaboration between Square Enix and Disney Interactive Studios, and is under the direction of Tetsuya Nomura, a longtime Square Enix character designer. Kingdom Hearts is a crossover of various Disney settings based in a universe made specifically for the series. Characters from Square Enix's Final Fantasy series and The World Ends with You make appearances and interact with the player and the Disney characters. The series centers on the main character Sora's search for his friends and his encounters with Disney, Final Fantasy and The World Ends With You characters on their worlds.
