Million Dollar Baby

Michael is overcome with grief when he learns about the death of his former boss Ed Truck. Michael spends the rest of the day attempting grief counseling for the mostly grief-lacking office. In Stamford, Jim and Karen embark on a quest for a particular brand of potato chips.

Frank trains Dee for a boxing match against the daughter of his old boxing foe. Meanwhile, Dennis and Mac train Charlie for an underground fighting ring.

Homer is supposed to participate in a wedding toast with Marge, but is late for the reception because he was in line buying a lottery ticket. Homer wins the million dollar lottery, but can't tell Marge because the news reports on the exact time the ticket was sold, and Marge would know why he was late. So he hides the money in a tree and buys the family things by letting them "find" them so they won't know he has the money. Bart finds out Homer's secret and blackmails him, but eventually Homer confesses to Marge.

In the episode, Jan, now living with Michael, forces costly changes in Michael's life. This causes Michael to worry about his financial situation. To remedy the problem, Michael leaves work early for a late night job as a telemarketer until 1 a.m. When Ryan finds out, he forces Michael to quit, who then fears that there is no way in which he can support Jan and himself. He hops a train to run away, but Jan meets him and tells him that they can work together to find a way to live. Meanwhile, Dwight pines over Angela, who is later asked out by Andy. After a pep-talk by Jim, Dwight returns as his normal annoying self, to Jim's pleasure. Pam and Jim visit Dwight's family farm, which he has fashioned into a bed and breakfast.

Leslie faces off with Councilman Jamm on a park proposal. Laid-off Ben gets a new hobby, before accepting a job offer from an accounting firm that has been courting him for two years. Tom, April and Donna help Ron sell his cabin. Chris gets Leslie to finally come to terms with his and Ann's move to Michigan.

Tommy returns to 62 Truck fire station while Laura files a complaint against Lou.
