fsociety learns Project Berenstain is illegal surveillance of three million people for Five/Nine with 16 prime suspects, one of them deceased. Mobley fears that it means Romero is the dead suspect so the FBI is close to them. fsociety releases this information causing problems for the FBI, but Susan Jacobs comes home and sees them. They tie her up and try to hack her for blackmail, but Darlene remembers Susan laughing when E Corp was cleared for the toxic leak. Darlene shocks her with a stun gun, which is fatal because of Susan's heart condition, though she says it was self-defense. Darlene and Cisco incinerate Susan's body while Mobley and Trenton panic. Dom interviews the owner of Darlene's stolen gun and brings Mobley in for questioning about the arcade, still hunting for Tyrell. He gives her nothing and Dom is forced to let him go. Mobley warns Trenton they must run; someone meets Trenton two hours later. Angela's fling was an FBI plant but she ditched him for an older man. Darlene sees Cisco is monitoring her for the Dark Army and attacks him with a baseball bat.

Fiona has dinner with Mike's family and meets his self-proclaimed 'life addict' brother Robbie. Sheila looks for love on an online dating service. In an attempt to make some money, Carl steals various dogs around the neighborhood and holds them ransom. Lip continues to struggle in college and finds himself cracking under the pressure. A disheartened Mickey tries to mask his pain in alcohol and sex, whilst Veronica and Kev desperately try to make more money in preparation for their four children. Frank meets eldest daughter Samantha (Emily Bergl) who does not know of Frank's parental relationship to her. He makes a good impression on her, leading to her pursuing him romantically. Even though Frank rebuffs these attempts, she still offers her liver to him. Debbie is also turned down when she tries to have sex with her much older boyfriend. After another dinner, Fiona has sex with Robbie while Mike is passed out.

Marty and the Pod struggle to determine who their new client is, due to a breakdown of communication at the firm and the client's guarded and secretive behaviour. Meanwhile, Jeannie returns from paid vacation and is promoted by the new Interm-CEO of Galweather Stearn, while hazy memories of her and Marty's night together continue to flood back.

Frankie and Mike are celebrating their 15th and 16th anniversary (15th, because they never got around to celebrating the year before.) by going out of town to the carpet remnant place. However, their busy schedules and family issues threaten to cause them to miss their trip.

Debra finds out that Ray accidentally taped football over their wedding tape and isn't too happy.

After Marge enters Apu into a bachelor auction, many women find an interest in him. However, Apu soon receives a letter from his mother, regarding the arranged marriage he is supposed to have. He does not want to marry the stranger, and following the advice of Homer, tells his mother that he is already married. Curious, his mother comes to America to see his wife, which Homer says Marge can pretend to be. But his mother soon realizes that she is not actually his wife, making the plans for the arranged marriage to continue. Apu becomes depressed until he learns at his wedding that his arranged wife, Manjula, is actually quite lovely.

In the episode, Marge tells the story of how she and Homer first met and fell in love. Flashing back to 1974, we see how Homer falls in love with Marge in high school and tries to get close to her by enlisting her as his French tutor. After several hours of verb conjugation, Marge falls for Homer too, only to become enraged when he admits that he is not a French student. Marge rejects Homer's invitation to the prom and goes with Artie Ziff. Artie turns out to be a terrible date and Marge realizes that it is Homer she really wants.

In 1752, the Collins family sails from Liverpool, England to North America. The son, Barnabas, grows up to be a wealthy playboy in Collinsport, Maine and is the master of Collinwood Manor. He breaks the heart of a witch, Angelique Bouchard, who turns him into a vampire and buries him alive. In 1972, Barnabas is accidentally freed from his coffin and returns to find his once-magnificent mansion in ruin. The manor is currently occupied by Barnabas' dysfunctional descendants, all of whom are hiding dark and horrifying secrets.

While performing on Lake Springfield, the rock band Green Day is killed when pollution in the lake erodes their barge. At a memorial service, Grampa has a prophetic vision in which he predicts the impending doom of the town, but only Marge takes it seriously. Lisa and an Irish boy named Colin, with whom she has fallen in love, hold a meeting where they convince the town to clean up the lake. Meanwhile, Homer adopts a pig from Krusty Burger. Homer stores the pig's feces in an overflowing silo which Marge tells him to dispose of safely. However, Homer gets distracted and instead dumps the silo in the lake, re-polluting it. Moments later, a squirrel jumps into the lake and becomes severely mutated. Nearby, Flanders and Bart discover the squirrel during a hike, and the EPA captures it. Russ Cargill, head of the EPA, presents five options to President Schwarzenegger to keep Springfield's pollution contained; he randomly picks the action of enclosing Springfield in a large glass dome. When the police discover Homer's silo in the lake, an angry mob of townspeople approach the Simpsons' home and set the house on fire, but the family escapes through a sinkhole and flees to Alaska. The trapped citizens damage the dome over time and Cargill, not wanting news of what he has done to become widespread, plans to destroy Springfield. In Alaska, the Simpsons see an advertisement for a new Grand Canyon to be located on the site where Springfield is located. Marge and the kids decide to go and save the town, but Homer refuses to help the people who tried to kill them. The family abandons Homer and leaves but are captured by the EPA and placed back in the dome. After a visit from a mysterious Inuit shaman, Homer has an epiphany and believes he must save the town in order to save himself.

Based on the Marvel character, stunt motorcyclist Johnny Blaze gives up his soul to become a hellblazing vigilante, to fight against power hungry Blackheart, the son of the devil himself.

Close to You: Remembering The Carpenters is a 100 minute long documentary that was released on DVD by MPI Home Video. It features interviews by Richard Carpenter, John Bettis (co-writer), Gary Sims (part-time member), Petula Clark, et al.

This "commercial" for a fake brand of cheese begins with a mouse coming out of his mouse hold in the wall. "Top of the World" by the Carpenters is playing as the little mouse finds a piece of cheese to eat - on a mouse trap. As he gets comfortable, he climbs right on the trap and SNAP! The next scene show the mouse trapped and dying while "The End" by The Doors plays. Then out of nowhere, the rodent starts pushing up on the metal that is trapping him like he is bench pressing it. The theme from Rocky III, "The Eye of the Tiger" plays while the mouse does his workout. At the end of the ad, the mouse is sitting on a cutting board with a big block of Nolan's Cheddar cheese which is a sharp cheddar that is "seriously strong".
