Nick wanders off on his own towards Tijuana, but on the way he is attacked by another survivor and forced to leave behind his supplies. When he tries to scavenge abandoned cars for supplies, he is attacked by bandits and gets lost in the wilderness as he flees. When he tries to get some sleep, he is attacked by a pair of feral dogs and bitten in the leg. However, Nick is saved when a pack of walkers arrives and devours the dogs. The walkers are then drawn away by the sounds of car horns and gunfire, giving Nick an opportunity to escape. He then blends in with the walker pack as it makes its way to Tijuana. The previous group of bandits then arrives and begins to kill the walkers, but one of them flees when the other two are eaten. Nick eventually passes out due to his wound and malnourishment. A group of survivors observe Nick, but their leader, Luciana, opts not to help him. During this ordeal, Nick has several flashbacks to his time with his girlfriend in rehab for their drug addictions. It is there where he expresses his frustration at his father's lack of attention to him. He is later visited by Madison, who tells him that his father died in a car crash. Nick then regains consciousness and manages to limp his way to Tijuana. He encounters Luciana's group, who take him to their community to be treated.

Mako Tanida escapes a Japanese prison and kills an FBI agent, claiming revenge for "collateral damage" caused by the FBI when they were after Red. After another FBI agent turns up dead in America, Ressler fears he may be next, as he was part of the team searching for Red back then. He grabs Audrey and attempts to take her somewhere safe, but his car is rammed by Mako's driver. In the ensuing melee, Mako shoots and kills Audrey. Ressler vows to take out Mako, despite warnings from Cooper and Red to let other agents take it from here. Collaborating with an old FBI buddy named Bobby Jonica, Ressler tracks down Mako, but later learns that Bobby is the mysterious "Aiko" -- the man who took over Mako's crime operation while the latter was in prison. Just then, Liz shows up and Ressler resists killing his old buddy, though Bobby commits suicide anyway, while Ressler later receives Tanida's decapitated head from Reddington. Meanwhile, Lucy/Jolene announces plans to move in next to Tom and Liz, but Tom later meets Lucy in a hideout and the two converse about mutual though possibly conflicting plans to get to Red. Tom assures Lucy he has done everything he could to maintain the ruse of his devotion to Liz, but complications arose when he was knifed by the men sent for Red, causing Liz to find his fake passports and cash. Later, the man named "Cowboy", a bounty hunter hired by Red, tracks down Tom and Lucy, but he is captured and killed by Tom, moments after Tom had also killed Lucy.

As Crosby and Jasmine's romantic relationship continues, they have to decide how to explain it to Jabbar. Elsewhere, Adam and Kristina are on the search for friends but find that the process is a bigger challenge than they thought. Sarah learns about Zeek's financial problems. Meanwhile, Julia becomes the new coach of Sydney's soccer team and Haddie seeks out Amber for advice when Steve starts pressuring her to have sex with him.

As the team rushes to find the underlying cause of Amber's injuries, clues inside House's head may hold the key and House's friendship with Wilson is tested as memories from the bus accident the night before threatens their relationship. Meanwhile, Thirteen struggles to cope with her own personal problems while treating Amber.

J.D.'s pregnant girlfriend, Kim, goes into labor as they begin to question their strength as a couple and as potential parents. Meanwhile, the rest of Sacred Heart team also seem to be having parenting issues, with Cox wondering whether to give his daughter an injection, Turk and Carla attempting to complete a video game so that they can focus on Izzy, and Kelso helping his son Harrison through a breakup. Dr. Cox works with a new group of interns.

As the Ravens prepare for the championship, Lucas learns Nathan intends to throw the game and decides on a risky plan to even the odds.
