"NRL Mission Control Room" This advert shows the "control room" where the National Rugby League monitors, rates, and responds to social media in real time during their events. The room is full of computer operators, screens, and maps to allow them to follow and track Tweets, Hashtags, posts, check-ins and more as they happen. The NRL Mission Control Room was created in partnership with digital agency VML to track, engage, reward and amplify the real-time social conversation during the 2013 State of Origin Series. Generating over 1 Billion impressions of the State of Origin #hashtags and unprecedented interaction/engagement with our content. Introducing Mission Control - the real-time social control room designed to listen to, engage, and activate an entire nation around its single biggest sporting event. From deep in the stadium at each game, each Tweet, post, image, and video was captured, analysed, ranked, and responded to in real-time. From politicians, sporting stars, and celebs, right through to our true fans we responded with custom content. Rewarding conversation, amplifying reach, leveraging influences, and putting the game's social commentary in the hands of our fans we generated unprecedented engagement and social reach. With over a billion impressions of Origin hashtags on Twitter, Mission Control delivered and the NRL staked its claim as a global digital leader.
