"John Lewis Christmas Advert 2015 - #ManOnTheMoon" A bored little girl named Lily decides to look at the moon through a telescope. To her surprise, there is a little old man who lives in a small house in one of the moon's craters. Her initial happiness doesn't last when she sees the old man is sad and lonely. She tries to wave at him, but he can't see her from up there. She keeps watching him over the next few days as he sits in sadness on a bench. She wants to get him a message, but neither a bow and arrow nor a paper airplane reach the moon. Christmas comes and the little girl finally figures out a way to get her message to the man. It arrives via balloon, and it's not just a card - it's a Christmas present. He opens it up and it's his own telescope. He points it toward Earth and finds the little girl who waves at him. We see a tear run down the man's face (Lyrics) I would like to leave this city This old town don't smell too pretty and I can feel the warning signs running around my mind And when I leave this island I'll book myself into a soul asylum And I can feel the warning signs running around my mind So here I go still scratching around the same old hole My body feels young but my mind is very old So what do you say? You can't give me the dreams that are mine anyway You're half the world away Half the world away Half the world away I've been lost I've been found but I don't feel down. And when I leave this planet, you know I'd stay but I just can't stand it and I can feel the warning signs running around my mind And if I could leave this spirit, I'll find me a hole and I'll leave in it Dear The man on the moon Show someone they're loved this Christmas John Lewis In store, online, mobile #ManOnTheMoon
