Description

"Game Day 2013 Commercial: The Unaired SodaStream Ad - Super Bowl 2013" This commercial was supposed to be the ad that was shown for SodaStream during Super Bowl XLVII. Unfortunately, the ad got banned because it directly attacked two of the other Super Bowl sponsors - Coke and Pepsi. The ad begins with two soda delivery trucks (Coca-Cola and Pepsi) pulling up to a grocery store. As "Dueling Banjos" plays, each truck driver gets out and does the same thing. Open the doors of the truck unpack the bottles of pop onto a dolly, and then wheel them into the store. Before they get inside, the bottles start exploding and disappearing from the hand carts. The bottles disappear because a man at home is using his SodaStream device to make his own soda at home, thereby reducing the amount of plastic bottles that get made and them put into landfills. The ad claims that on Super Bowl Sunday alone, they could have saved over 500 million bottles from being created. At the end, all the bottles in both trucks disappear.

With SodaStream, we could have saved 500 million bottles on Game Day alone. If you love the bubbles, set them free.
