This commercial for Levi's 501 jeans is in black and white. A family - mother, father, two teenage daughters - sets out on a journey to the West, in a horse-drawn wagon. As the family stops for a lunch, and a break from traveling, the two teenage girls take a walk, running through the forest until they reach a clearing where they discover a creek. And in that creek is a handsome, muscular man, bathing in the water. The two girls stand behind a tree, watching the man wash up. One of the girls finds a pair of jeans on the rocks near the edge of the water. The girls, take the jeans and continue to watch. As the man slowly emerges from the water, the girls hold the jeans to their faces, in wild anticipation. The man gets out of the water, wearing his Shrink-to-Fit Levi's 501 jeans. As it turns out, the jeans the girls have been clutching, belong to a different man. A man they don't want to see emerge from the cool water, with nothing on except what the good Lord gave him.
