After the survivors move into Gordon's mansion, they deliver eulogies for Gordon, who died at the beach. Carol tells them that Phil had died too and feigns mourning. When no one shows any sympathy for Phil but much for Gordon, Carol tells the group the truth that Phil is indeed alive. Phil is torn between claiming he doesn't care about the group's opinion of him (making it plain he really does care) and honestly wanting to make amends with them despite his fears of rejection. Knowing the right thing to do is to apologize, Phil walks into the house and tries to convince the others that he has changed, but he does so while holding the group at gunpoint, fearing he will be attacked again. He threatens them multiple times, only for Carol to tell him that the group was planning to forgive him. Phil is soon locked in a pillory as punishment and is told he will remain there until the group decides otherwise.

Phil, Alan and Doug travel to Thailand for Stu’s wedding, but after their little escapade in Las Vegas, Stu has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things do not go as planned after they lose the younger brother of Stu's fiancée.
