"Christmas 2010" This commercial shows people getting ready for Christmas and the holiday season by sneaking around. They are trying to buy, move, and wrap their presents for everyone without letting the receiver see what they are doing. First we see two young children sitting on a couch watching TV, from outside, the parents carry in a huge stuffed pony, and the kids never even turn around to look at them. Next, a man at work is trying to wrap a set of candlesticks, but his fingers are covered in tape and he can't seem to get the job done. A little girl in the back seat of a car thinks no one will guess what her present is, but it is clearly in the shape of a watering can for plants. A young man is in the library wrapping up a new purse for his wife/girlfriend when she happens to come through the door, and he has to hid everything under the table. We come back to the guy at work still trying to wrap his candlesticks, and the wrapping paper is a mess and the candles are sticking out of the top. Another man at an auto shop does his wrapping at work too, so his wife won't see the teapot he got her. A mother keeps her kids presents up in the attic, and the ad ends with a little boy hanging a stocking out on the doghouse for his lovable pet. "Christmas 2008" This Christmas / Holiday commercial for John Lewis tells us, that if we know the person, we can find just the right gift for them at their department store. Next is a nerdy looking kid, and the suggestion is a chemistry set.
