The study group takes a wild balloon ride that crash lands in the woods and they end up spending some quality time together with a friendly mountain man. The cast are animated with puppets.

A flashback shows young Tasha-then referred to as Taystee-at a Black Adoption Festival, trying to find a permanent home. She meets a drug dealer who later becomes a mother figure to her. Eventually, Taystee starts working for her in the drug trade. Pennsatucky is revealed to have survived her fight with Piper, and is released from solitary after a month. She makes a deal with Healy about what she will say about the fight, and in exchange she gets her teeth fixed. Daya has been constipated for the past five days, and her mother and Mendoza compete to solve the problem. Red's commissary funds run short because she no longer controls the kitchen and cannot aid her outside criminal associates. During a visit from her son, it is revealed that she has a grandchild. Red is taken in by the older inmates. A mock job fair gives Taystee a chance to show off her business smarts with a Phillip Morris representative in a mock interview. She gets the mock job after Flaca puts her hand on the rep's knee during the interview. At the end of the episode, Taystee's mother figure shows up as a new inmate.

The office is eager to welcome Sabre CEO Jo Bennett to Scranton, and are dazzled by her Southern ways. But when Jo finds out there are two branch managers, she says either Michael or Jim must go back to being a salesman. Meanwhile, Andy's Valentine Day's plan backfires.

Doug's parents, Joe and Janet, come to town so Joe can pursue his dream of winning a model-train competition. But while Joe's off playing conductor, Janet feels left out. Little does Carrie know, that when she asks Arthur to entertain Janet, he'll use it as an excuse to sweep her off her feet.

After being released from jail, Ian tries to land a job for Mickey at Kash and Grab, and Mickey reluctantly agrees. Debbie and Carl deal with their growth spurts on wanting more space around the house.

Burt hires Barney to help him with his receipts during corporate tax season, and while caught up in the stress Burt accidentally makes a mean comment about Virginia's job, so she decides to change careers and become a tarot card reader. Meanwhile, Sabrina contemplates moving to Africa with Wyatt, upsetting Jimmy.

Reagan, Chris and Scott get invited to join Gene and Terry at their mountain cabin for their annual "Family Funlympics." Meanwhile, when Reagan decides she needs to leave the cabin to go and check up on Ava, she is shocked to learn that Ava has new friends.

House systematically begins eliminating his new team candidates, until he is approached by a fighter pilot named Greta, a candidate for NASA's astronaut training program. Greta suffers from a neurological disorder, where she converts sounds to visual images. Knowing NASA will reject any possibility of her becoming an astronaut if they knew of her problem, Greta begs House to treat her in secret. Meanwhile, House is ruffled when he thinks he sees Cameron, Chase and Foreman in the hospital hallways.

While Claire runs herself ragged trying to play peacemaker with Haley and Alex, Phil sneaks off for a nice relaxing day at the spa. Meanwhile, Gloria is horrified by Jay's morbid plans to purchase two primo side-by-side crypts in preparation of the inevitable future, and Cameron decides he wants to write a book that celebrates the fact that Lily is adopted -- however, during the process he unearths artifacts that are quite disturbing.
