Matt stops Elektra from killing Stick as ninjas descend on them and they must fight together, but Matt and Elektra can't stop the Hand from taking Stick. Matt vows to find him, while Elektra vows to kill him. Police clean up the pier mess and Karen insists Castle isn't dead. She tracks down Castle's commander in Afghanistan, Ray Schoonover, then discovers Schoonover's involvement in the drug ring that led to the slaughter of Castle's family. Castle shows up to keep Schoonover from killing Karen. Daredevil and Elektra track the Hand and find Stick bound and tortured. Nobu is also present. The Hand's true motive is disclosed, as is the missing link in Elektra's haunted past. Elektra finally saves Stick. Daredevil escapes the Hand with Nobu determined to stop him.

Daredevil takes on the ninjas assaulting the hospital. He's shocked that the children want to return to them. As Matt, he explains to Claire Temple about the ninjas. An attempted autopsy on one of the slain Ninjas shows the scars of a prior autopsy. The hospital board chief is just as shocked---and bent on covering everything up, compelling Claire to quit after Foggy's release. Foggy ponders an offer from his occasional girlfriend involving joining her law firm. Karen lies to a detective about the attack on her apartment but accepts police protection. Matt confronts her and she tells him she doesn't think Castle was behind the D.A.'s and medical examiner's deaths. Karen slips her police protection to meet Castle at a greasy spoon. Castle admits he used her as bait to lure those he thinks are following her. Matt thinks Madame Gao is Blacksmith's competitor and she reluctantly sends him to the pier. He talks Castle out of killing a man claiming to be Blacksmith. Stick learns Elektra survived the hit. Blacksmith's men arrive and shoot up the boat, detonating gunpowder and exploding the ship.

Noah learns that there is more to Alison than he knows.

The team re-investigates the 1991 murder of a 14-year-old aspiring rapper who was in foster care with her younger sister at the time of her death. The victim is seen by her sister dancing with her younger self.

Leslie and the rest of the committee help an organization named KaBOOM! build a small playground in a neighboring town. When the playground is finished (in just one day) Leslie becomes frustrated with the lack of progress with getting the pit turned into a park and goes to Mark for advice on speeding things up.

The team re-investigates the 1978 case of the death of a teenage roller-skater who was found in a ravine when a convicted thief reveals some information regarding the death in order to get a lighter sentence. Lilly sees the victim at the roller rink where she used to skate. No one is arrested as the death was ruled accidental.

When Chris is the only boy without a date for the ninth-grade dance, Greg suggests he ask out Carrie but when he does, word spreads of the inter-racial couple. Meanwhile, Tonya pesters her parents about taking ballet lessons. Tony Rock, the inspiration for Drew, guest stars as entrepreneurial Uncle Ryan.

When an undelivered letter with a missing child's handwriting on it is found, the team is prompted to reopen the case of an eight-year-old girl who disappeared in 1975. The presumed victim is found to be alive, and is reunited with her parents and her best friend. The person responsible for the disappearance of the victim is arrested.

Earl tackles #127, "Stole a Badge from a police officer". Earl tries to make up for stealing a police badge, and finds that the officer got demoted because of him. Earl now has to make it up to the officer by getting him promoted.

Bernie and Wanda are not satisfied with Bryana's test scores, and decide to enroll her at Jordan's school. Jordan is depressed because the kids at school think he's a nerd.

The team re-investigates the circumstances of a fire that killed twenty-two people and destroyed a disco in 1978, when a new set of remains with a bullet hole in the skull is discovered at the site.

Bryana's favorite character, Droobie, appears in a movie with Bernie as the enemy, and the next thing is, Bryana sees that Bernie is "killing" Droobie and she calls him a "Droobie Killer".

Elaine reluctantly allows George to attend a company party. George attempts to hit on Anna (Rebecca McFarland), one of Elaine's employees, but she doesn't seem interested. George is then horrified when he sees Elaine dancing at the party, a dance which causes her staff to lose all respect for her. Elaine mistakenly attributes this lack of respect to George's presence at the party after talking to Jerry. She advises Anna to keep away from George, which causes Anna to think of George as a "bad boy", making George desirable to her. George goes on to describe the dance as "a full body dry heave set to music". Jerry has gotten tickets to a sneak peek showing of Death Blow for himself and Kramer. However, Kramer quickly invites a friend, Brody (Neil Giuntoli), forcing Jerry to get another ticket. In the theater, Brody starts videotaping the film to make a bootleg version to sell on the streets. While taping, Brody becomes sick and has Kramer take him home, leaving Jerry to finish making the tape. Jerry says he won't do it, but agrees when Brody threatens him with a gun. Jerry worries about the possible consequences of the illegal act, and whether or not Brody will like his taping. However, when he sees the finished product, Brody says it's the most beautiful taping he's ever seen, and asks Jerry to do another film called Cry, Cry Again. Jerry becomes a bootlegging legend on the streets, and demands better equipment for his next film. When Brody won't agree with Jerry's demands, Jerry becomes angry and leaves. Kramer, seeing Elaine dancing, quickly informs her that "she stinks." Jerry reluctantly confirms this, but Elaine is still not convinced. She videotapes herself over the ending of the bootleg master copy of Cry, Cry Again. Elaine apologizes to Anna and George, explaining that George really is a good person, which makes him undesirable to Anna. But after hearing Jerry has quit bootlegging, George then decides to take up the job instead, in an effort to restore his "bad boy" image, but gets arrested in the process. When Brody comes to pick up Cry, Cry Again that Jerry was going to shoot, all they have was the bad copy Kramer did, which Elaine has recorded her dancing over. Frank comes to bail him out but instead comes into a physical confrontation with Elaine over George's incident. Jerry and Elaine walk down the street where it's revealed that Elaine beat Frank. When Jerry and Elaine go to Elaine's apartment, everyone dances behind Elaine's back, mocking her dance that they all saw at the end of the Cry, Cry Again bootleg.

Killer of Sheep is a 1977 American film written, directed, produced and shot by Charles Burnett. It features Henry G. Sanders, Kaycee Moore, and Charles Bracy, among others. The drama depicts the culture of urban African-Americans in Los Angeles' Watts district. The film's style is often likened to Italian neorealism. At the time of its completion the film could not be released because the filmmakers had not secured rights to the music used in the film. The rights were purchased in 2007 at a cost of US$150 000 and the film was restored and transferred from a 16mm to a 35mm print. Killer of Sheep received a limited release 30 years after it was completed, with a DVD release in late 2007.

The story follows Steve, who hates his job but after over two years of working, receives a promotion. His first duty is to fire his friend Stavi, who is the janitor. Steve fires Stavi, but hires him to work around his apartment. Stavi gets three fingers amputated in a lawn-mower accident, and reveals that he doesn't have health insurance. Steve must raise $28,000 within two weeks to pay for the surgery to re-attach his friend's fingers. His uncle Gary owes $40,000 in gambling debts and suggests that they fix the Special Olympics in San Marcos, Texas in order to solve both of their financial problems. Steve, who competed in track and field in high school as well as being in the drama club, enters the Special Olympics in the guise of a high functioning developmentally disabled young man named Jeffy Dahmor. Gary, assuming that Steve will easily defeat the legitimate contenders, bets $100,000 that reigning champion Jimmy Washington will not win the gold medal. Despite initially being disgusted at pretending to be mentally challenged, Steve goes along with it for Stavi.

Emperor Kuzco narrates the story about Kronk, now chef and Head Delivery Boy of Mudka's Meat Hut, is fretting over the upcoming visit of his father. Kronk's father always disapproved of young Kronk's culinary interests and wished that Kronk instead would settle down with a wife and a large house on a hill. In a flashback, Kronk tells the story of how he almost had both of these. As unwitting accomplice to Yzma's plan to sell snake oil as a youth potion, he makes enough money to buy the old folks' home from the old folks and put his large new home there; but then when he realizes they've sold everything they own in return for something which doesn't work, he gives his home back to them. Kronk, as camp counselor of the Junior Chipmunks at Camp Chippamunka he falls in love with fellow counselor Miss Birdwell; but when one of his Chipmunks pulls a prank to win the camp championships and is caught, Kronk protects the boy at the cost of alienating his love. Kronk's father arrives and confusion ensues as several supportive friends try to pass themselves off to him as Kronk's wife and kids. But in the end Kronk realizes that his wealth is in his friendships, and this finally wins his father's thumbs up and Miss Birdwell's love.

At the Central Park Zoo, Marty the zebra (Chris Rock) is celebrating his tenth birthday, but longs to see the rest of the world from outside his pampered life at the zoo. Believing that he can find wide-open spaces to run around in, in Connecticut, he gets some tips from the zoo's penguins Skipper (Tom McGrath), Kowalski (Chris Miller), Rico (John DiMaggio), and Private (Christopher Knights). The penguins are similarly trying to escape the zoo. Marty's friends, Alex the lion (Ben Stiller), Melman the giraffe (David Schwimmer), and Gloria the hippopotamus (Jada Pinkett Smith), realize Marty's folly and try to follow him. The four, along with the penguins and the chimpanzees Mason (Conrad Vernon) and his silent friend Phil eventually find themselves at Grand Central Station, but are quickly sedated by tranquilizer darts when Alex's attempt to communicate is mistaken for aggression. The zoo (under pressure from animal-rights activists) is forced to ship the animals, by sea, to Kenya. During their travels, the penguins escape from their enclosure and take over the ship, intent on taking it to Antarctica. Their antics on the bridge cause the crates containing Alex, Marty, Melmen, and Gloria to fall off the boat and wash ashore on Madagascar.

Robots is a 2005 American CGI-animated comedy film. In the beginning of the movie, Herb Copperbottom races through the streets because he is elated that he is going to be a father. He and his wife, Lydia Copperbottom, after 12 hours of "labor", finally manage to construct the baby. His name is Rodney Copperbottom, who becomes a young inventor who dreams of making the world a better place for everyone. Rodney idolizes Bigweld, the master inventor and owner of Bigweld Industries. Rodney has invented a gadget that will help his father clean the dishes at the restaurant. Rodney takes his invention to Robot City to see Bigweld and get a job as an inventor at his company. Instead, Rodney gets to see Ratchet, the new head of the company. Ratchet sees to it that Rodney is removed from the premises. Cappy, a beautiful robot-executive of the company takes an interest in Rodney, and wants to help him. In the slums of Robot City, some old robots known as the Rusties, led by a robot named Fender, befriend Rodney. Ratchet believes the company can make a bigger profit if it stops making spare parts for older robots. Non-working robots are picked up and sent to and melted down by Ratchet's mother, queen of the 'Chop-shop'. Rodney, who remembers Bigweld's 'See a need, fill a need', begins fixing old robots. When Ratchet's mother orders him to stop Rodney, the fireworks begin.

Soul Food is a 1997 American comedy-drama film, produced by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Tracey Edmonds, and Robert Teitel, and released by Fox 2000 Pictures. Featuring an ensemble cast, the film stars Vanessa L. Williams, Vivica A. Fox, Nia Long, Michael Beach, Mekhi Phifer, Jeffrey D. Sams, Irma P. Hall, Gina Ravera, and Brandon Hammond. Written and directed by George Tillman, Jr. (in his major studio debut), the film centers on the trials of an extended African-American family, held together by longstanding family traditions which begin to fade as serious problems take center stage. Tillman based the family in the film on his own, and Soul Food was widely acclaimed for presenting a more positive image of African-Americans than is typically seen in Hollywood films.

Sprung is a 1997 comedy film, written and directed by Rusty Cundieff. This film stars Cundieff, Tisha Campbell, Joe Torry, and Paula Jai Parker. It grossed $7,575,028 at the US box office. Set in 1990s Pittsburgh. Montel (Rusty Cundieff) and Clyde (Joe Torry) are friends who couldn't be less alike. An introverted photographer, Montel wants to meet the one right girl for him and settle down to build a family, while Clyde is a flamboyant womanizer just out for a good time. At a party, they meet Adina (Paula Jai Parker), a sexy golddigger seeking a wealthy husband with robotic determination, and her shy law clerk friend Brandy (Tisha Campbell-Martin). The couples pair off in predictable combinations, but while the brief encounter between Clyde and Adina quickly implodes when she discovers that Clyde's success is an act and his Porsche is borrowed, the relationship between Montel and Brandy blooms into a true romance. Eventually, they decide to move in together, motivating Clyde and Adina to reunite in a selfish scheme to break their best friends up using whatever treacherous means they can employ.

Rock & Rule is a 1983 animated film from the animation studio Nelvana. It was produced and directed by the company's founders, Michael Hirsh, Patrick Loubert, and Clive A. Smith. The film features the voices of Greg Salata, Susan Roman, and Don Francks, with Catherine O'Hara, Chris Wiggins, and Maurice LaMarche as guests. It was the studio's first feature film and the first one produced entirely within Canada. Centering on rock and roll music, the film includes songs by Cheap Trick, Chris Stein and Debbie Harry of the pop group Blondie, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, and Earth, Wind & Fire. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic United States populated by mutant humanoids. With John Halfpenny, Patrick Loubert, and Peter Sauder at the helm of its screenplay, Rock & Rule was a heavily derived spinoff of Nelvana's earlier TV special from 1978, The Devil and Daniel Mouse. Its distributor, MGM, acquired United Artists at the time and the new management team had no interest in it so it was never released in North America. It received a screening at a film festival in Germany and because it was funded in part by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, which had obtained the Canadian TV rights, it did get some minor exposure in that country. A hard-to-find VHS was released at that time, followed by a laser disc. The film developed a cult following from repeated airings on HBO and Showtime and the circulation of bootleg VHS copies at comic book conventions booths (with Ralph Bakshi named as director). In 2005, Unearthed Films released a special two-disc edition DVD of the film.

Private Lessons is the title of an American comedy film released in 1980. The film starred Sylvia Kristel, Howard Hesseman, Eric Brown, and Ed Begley, Jr. The screenplay was written by Dan Greenburg, who wrote the original source novel, Philly. Greenburg appears as the manager of a fleabag motel in the film. Released in 1981, Private Lessons was highly controversial from the time of its release, for its plot line of a sexual relationship between a boy in his early teens and his 30-something housekeeper. It was one of Kristel's few major American film appearances; she was best known for her Emmanuelle films in Europe. In early 2006, a 25th anniversary DVD release was issued in North America.

Skatetown, U.S.A. is a 1979 American comedic feature film produced to capitalize on the short-lived fad of roller disco. The film features many TV stars from the 1960s and 1970s, among them Scott Baio, Flip Wilson, Maureen McCormick, Ron Palillo and Ruth Buzzi. Patrick Swayze's leading role as the skater "Ace" was his first movie performance. Also in the cast are Sydney Lassick, Billy Barty and Dorothy Stratten (later subject of the film Star 80).

The Music for UNICEF Concert: A Gift of Song was a benefit concert of popular music held in the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on January 9, 1979. It was intended to raise money for UNICEF world hunger programs and to mark the beginning of the International Year of the Child. The concert was videotaped and broadcast the following day on NBC in the U.S. and around the world. The moderator was David Frost, with Gilda Radner and Henry Winkler also introducing some of the performers. Henry Fonda made a short appearance. Each performer signed a large parchment declaring support for UNICEF's goals. The concert was the idea of impresario Robert Stigwood, the Bee Gees, and David Frost, who originally conceived it as an annual event. Not all of the performances were truly live, with ABBA lip-synching their new song "Chiquitita" and the Bee Gees lip-synching their song Too Much Heaven. It raised less than one million dollars at the time for UNICEF, although this figure did not include longer-term royalties from the songs and repeat performances.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is a 1978 American jukebox musical film. Its soundtrack, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, features new versions of songs originally written and performed by The Beatles. The film draws primarily from two of their albums, 1967's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and 1969's Abbey Road. The film covers all of the songs from the Sgt. Pepper album with the exceptions of "Within You, Without You" and "Lovely Rita", and also includes nearly all of Abbey Road. The production is somewhat adapted from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band on the Road, a 1974 off-Broadway production directed by Tom O'Horgan. It tells the loosely-constructed story of a band as they wrangle with the music industry and battle evil forces bent on stealing their instruments and corrupting their home town of Heartland. The film is presented in a form similar to that of a rock opera with the Beatles' songs providing "dialogue" to carry the story, with only George Burns having spoken lines that act to clarify the plot and provide further narration.

That's the Way of the World is a 1975 film produced and directed by Sig Shore, starring Harvey Keitel, and features the music of R&B/Funk group Earth, Wind and Fire (who also appear in the picture as a fictionalized version of themselves). The film depicts the music business and the life of record executives. A soundtrack by Earth, Wind and Fire released in the same year eventually became one of the famous landmark albums the group has ever made.
