"2013 Hyundai Santa Fe - Super Bowl 2013 | Epic Playdate (Extended)" This Super Bowl XLVII commercial begins with a pair of awesome parents with several kids. In the morning, the dad makes an enormous pile of pancakes, and as he's bringing it to the table, one of the sons asks what they are going to do today. One of the kids then uses a spoon and launches a blueberry across the room and the lead singer from The Flaming Lips catches it with his teeth. The band starts playing their new single, "Sun Blows Up Today" and the large family starts their epic day of fun. They all run out of the house carrying skateboards and head to a skate park. Next they go out and speed and spin through a field of mud in their Hyundai Santa Fe. As they are on their way to the next place, they pass a roadside cafe and a group of bikers start following them. The kids are mildly scared, but are having more fun with it, and their parents put on the "afterburners" and speed away from the bikers. Their next stop is a natural science and history museum where they actually walk up into the caveman exhibit when they aren't supposed to so they can get some pictures. They all have to run with the overweight security guard chases them away. After escaping they head to a petting zoo where they feed (and get chased by an ostrich. They stop for a bit of yoga, which sounds lame, but one of the kids is somehow balance on one arm, totally ignoring the laws of gravity while some of the other kids are shooting lasers at alien invaders while dressed up as robots. The last stop is "human bowling" where they get in a giant rubber ball and roll down a hill to knock down pins. The whole day, the Flaming Lips have been following them and singing their song, and as they are going home for the day, the family passes the band's tour bus which blow its horn and shoots confetti. That night at dinner as they are feeding the saber tooth tiger that followed them home from the museum, one of the kids again asks what they are doing tomorrow. Well... A bully comes up and steals the ball from him, and tells him to come back when he has a team to play some real football. The kid decides that's a good idea and runs home and has his mom drive him around to collect his friends for his team. The first is a set of red headed twins who are pumping iron in their driveway. They hop in the mom's Hyundai Santa Fe and soon they are on to the next location. In a warehouse, a young boy is welding, but happily takes off his welding helmet to join his friends football team. Next, they drive out to a farm where a boy is wrestling a bear (and winning), followed by a boy who is carrying out an adult from a burning building. "2014 Hyundai Elantra | Big Game Ad | "Nice"" This 2014 Super Bowl commercial starts with two identical silver Hyundai Elantras coming to a stop at an intersection. One is driven by a woman, and the other by Johnny Galecki - best known for his role as Leonard Hofstadter in The Big Bang Theory. He tries to impress the woman, using the their similar cars as his opening. Each line he uses on her, she has a retort because she's just not interested. It starts out simple with the comment of "nice ride" being returned with, "Nice try". It gets a bit weird after that. As she speeds off from the intersection, he catches up and says, "Nice acceleration" and she replies with, "Nice detonation". He doesn't understand until an explosion happens in front of him. He swerves just in time and catches up and mentions, "Nice handling". She replies "nice rambling" and suddenly Richard Lewis is in the back seat talking about how he needs to get to a bathroom or hospital because he just ate some bad clams. Galecki turns up the stereo to tune him out and then says to the woman, "Nice playlist". She thinks for a minute and says, "Nice plot twist". Again, this response confuses him until the road ahead of him turns into a giant ramp and he goes flying off into the air. The ad ends with a narration by Jeff Bridges. This commercial shows an ultrasound of a pregnant woman, and then starts showing images of kids in or with cramped cars - on the playground, at amusement parks, toy cars where toy people can't fit in, peddle-powered cars, a soap box derby car, a coin-operated car outside a grocery store, a car bed that is too short, tiny cars in a cartoon, and a bunch of college students cramming into a real compact car. We are asked between more flashing images of tiny cars, "Are we conditioned from childhood to accept being cramped in compact cars?"
