"Windows 8: Work Hard, Play Hard" This commercial begins with a person entering their picture password on a family portrait. Then they start using some of the apps on the tablet through the Live Tiles. They have a game of Fruit Ninja going and then switch between apps just by swiping from the side of the tablet. They then open two apps at once by slowly moving their finger over until the (previously) unopened Twitter app takes up 1/3 of the screen. They then move that app over to take over 2/3 of the screen and then the full screen. All this is done while a surfer video plays on the rest of the screen. While the interface of Windows 8 is new, you can switch over to the desktop interface you are more familiar with whenever you want. It also features how you can "take your photos and files with you" by using SkyDrive to store your stuff in the cloud. "Meet the New Windows" This commercial shows us some of the new features of Windows 8. It begins by explaining "picture password" and how you can point and draw on a picture to unlock your computer. After logging in, you see the Live Tiles which update automatically and can be customized. We also see how easy it is to search your computer, apps, files, and settings from a single location. In this case, a woman searches for "chocolate cake" which brings up a recipe and pictures from the Cook Book app. Next we see how you can multitask with more than one app open on the screen at once. The woman is using the Messaging app and opens a video at the same time. She feels that the video is too small, so she widens it and the messaging app shrinks down automatically. Finally, we see how easy it is to share with your friends from almost any app. The woman swipes the side of her tablet to open up a sharing option and shares the video. The boy is working on math homework while the dad is working on a sales report for work. The son is having some trouble with the math problems, so the dad takes a look at it. While he is doing that, the boy "fixes" the sales report from a boring bar graph to a whole presentation with 3D effects, explosions, and rock music. In the end, they both finished their homework with the help of the other. It all starts with a Windows 7 PC. This commercial begins at a wedding, and everyone in the attendance pulls out their phones to take a pictures. One guy stands up with his Galaxy smartphone, and someone with an iPhone tells him to get his ridiculously large phone out of the way so they can take a picture too. He and another man with a Galaxy come back and say their phones are awesome. Another woman with an iPhone chimes in to make fun of these Android users, and we soon see that instead of being separated by the aisle for bride and groom, everyone is separated by iOS and Android. A guy on the Android side then suggests that the (old) woman is too young to have an iPhone, suggesting that only dumb old people use them anymore. Soon, a fight has broken out in the middle of the wedding. In the middle of it all, two reception servers are standing in the middle of this fight talking about how they would all probably stop fighting if they new about the Nokia Lumia. One iPhone guy rips his shirt open during the altercation to show an Apple tattoo on his chest.
