Nearly broke, the guys return to Queens. But thanks to a tip from Vince and Drama's mom, Rita Chase, Eric tries to get filmmaker Gus Van Sant to cast Vince in a role. Van Sant won't let Vince audition, leading to a confrontation between Vince and Eric; Vince fires him, and Eric returns to L.A. Later, Vince reconnects with his high-school sweetheart and Drama invests in a neighborhood bar. Turtle continues to try to maintain his relationship with Jamie-Lynn Sigler as a secret, despite the guys' curiosity. Eric's efforts turn out not to be in vain, as Van Sant forwarded Vince's reel to filmmaker Martin Scorsese, who calls Vince to say he wants Vince in the lead role of his remake of The Great Gatsby, which will film in New York City. Vince flies back to L.A. to reconcile with Eric in person.

J.D. and Kim's romance escalates when they go on their first date, but Elliot won't give them much time alone, as she is becoming good friends with Kim too. Dr. Cox and Jordan celebrate as Jack moves out of diapers by giving his baby things away at Carla's baby shower, but learn that Jordan's pregnant again. Later when J.D. goes to talk to Kim, she reveals that she is pregnant.

Number 202: "Stole a wallet from a guy at the gas station." Earl gives back a wallet he stole, along with the $1000 that was in it. Earl finds out that the guy was going to use the money for his honeymoon, and now that he has the money, his wife wants to go on a real honeymoon. Since the guy can't get time off from work, Earl volunteers to fill in for him at a fast-food restaurant. The boss turns out to be a jerk who steals money from work, treats his employees with no respect, and cheats on his wife, but Earl can't understand why a guy like that has a good job, nice house, lots of friends, and a hot wife. Earl has had it with his new boss and when he embarrasses Earl with a balloon in front of children, Earl can't keep his cool by punching him in the face and that's when Karma starts to kick in, causing the boss to lose his wife and sending him to prison for the stolen money. Earl realizes what he has done, though Randy explains that "karma dosen't have fists" and the guy who returns from his honeymoon becomes the new manager and his workmates all get a raise.

A musical episode: Fez stars in the school musical pageant, but worries his friends will not attend to watch. His daydreams and fantasies throughout the episode include music from The Turtles, the Steve Miller Band, Nazareth, the Ramones, and Peaches & Herb.

This commercial begins with a die-hard Winnipeg Jets hockey fan watching the end of an NHL game where his team loses. His face is painted with the Jets logo and he's holding a giant #1 foam finger. We see the man start to cry, and then he is seen kicking an empty can down the road. He comes home and gets into the shower in his clothes (including his hockey jersey) and starts to shave off his playoff beard - crying the whole time. The man then gets dressed up and he and his friends have a funeral for the big foam finger which includes a casket with the same shape. They all go out and buy huge tubs of ice cream to eat while watching the rest of the playoffs (even though their teams are already done). A girlfriend of one of the men looks on very confused, but remains quite. "Toyota Gauntlet" This commercial features a Toyota car going through a "gauntlet" - torture tests to prove and ensure its quality under stressful conditions. The car begins on a track moving through a snowy and windy climate. It is completely covered in snow as it moves on to the next test - extremem heat. It passes through thick metal doors into car-sized oven with electric heating elements on all sides. very quickly, the snow melts and turns into boiling water which evaporates away. The next room fills with freezing air/vapor (liquid nitrogen?) and refreezes the Toyota covering it in a layer of ice and icicles. It then rides up under a rocket engine and is engulfed in flames as the rocket fires. As the camera zooms out, we can see that there are still several more tests to go. During development we will thermal test a car to see how every part of it reacts when pushed to its limits. It may seem excessive, but that's how we test for quality. That's what makes it a Toyota.
